Good Morning! I'm glad Wonka was good and that you're all set with the cookies. Work, was work but outside of that it is looking like Em might be moving out in Jan! It's a student living complex and we are waiting to see if it all falls in place for her. She's ready but I don't think I am!
QOTD: I'm the opposite. I like being surprised and I don't like my presents early, like John used to want to give me my gifts as soon as he got them and I always want to wait. Oh and he knows not to use Christmas wrap for my birthday!

How exciting for Em. Good on her for making this adventurous decision. I would assume it's going to be a huge adjustment all around. You guys are so close that I can imagine it will be difficult getting used to not having her in the house. However, your relationship will only grow stronger.

Good morning all and Happy Wednesday,
Gotta get over the hump.
Thanks for the report on Wonka. I think the movie might be an early evening New Year's Eve activity. I just stumbled upon an interesting tidbit about snozzzberries. Please skip over if you are eating; graphic sexual language... "
The snozzberries taste like snozzberries! We all giggle at the reference to "snozzberries," and as kids, we assumed it was an innocuous made-up word for some sort of awesome, delicious fruit. Turns out, the book's author, Roald Dahl, had a sick sense of humor and snozzberries have been dicks all along. Yes, snozzberries are dicks, and Charlie and his grandpa were licking dick-flavored wallpaper.
As Cracked points out, Dahl revisited snozzberries in his 1979 novel My Uncle Oswald, 15 years after Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory was published. The adult novel involves Oswald Hendryks Cornelius, aka the "greatest fornicator of all time," and his accomplice Yasmin Howcomely. The two scheme to sell the semen of famous men to women who desire to child famous progeny."
Today should tire me out. PT, picking up scripts, groceries, shopping for appreciation gift shopping, heading to the library to do work that I've been putting off, going for medical treatment, and then home to rest the rest of the day.
QOTD- I was ruthless about figuring out presents. My parents stopped answering any probing questions about gifts and would store them at my father's office until the special day.
B: Dannon Light and Fit Coconut Yogurt, pineapple
L: pork shish-ka-bob leftovers, salad.

Mornin' all!
UGH. I made hot & sour soup yesterday and am feeling it this morning. I retain water like crazy when I have too much sodium. It's my usual weigh day today, but I'm not going near that scale this morning. I'll wait until tomorrow or Friday. Although my film discussion group is meeting at a sushi place for lunch today since the movie this month is "Jiro Dreams of Sushi". More sodium. Great. I guess "weigh day" will be Friday. At least that'll keep me away from things like Christmas cookies for the next couple of days!
other than lunch out with the film gang, I've got nothing planned for today. I should try to get some exercise since that'll help with the bloating. I received my copy of Liz Cheney's new book yesterday (Amazon) - maybe I'll take that over to the gym this afternoon and spend an hour or so on one of the machines.
QOTD: I did that once when I was in sixth grade, but never again. I was so disappointed on Christmas morning since I already knew what all my presents were. So that was the first and last time.
B: skyr with cranberry sauce, coffee with half & half
L: sushi
AS: Danish bread, Ratio yogurt (?)
D: I don't know. The plan was originally hot & sour soup again, but after this morning, I'm not sure. Although the calories aren't bad on it - and if the sodium in it bloats me like crazy, making me pretty uncomfortable, maybe this isn't a bad thing???
anyway, have a good day, all!
I was the oldest in the family and when I was three I knew there was no Santa and that buying Christmas gifts was work for my mother. I went to the store with her to buy gifts and helped wrap them. I did not understand why that old man got all the credit for the gifts when my mother did all the work.

Good Morning Queen JB and Menuers,
Thanks for the heads up on Wonka. I had a Christmas Party Saturday that was canceled due to illness, and I think I will do Wonka and dinner out for a relaxing fun evening before all the commotion of Christmas eve and Christmas day. I got some shopping that need done Just grocery and gift cards hopefully I'll get out of here at lunch and finish up. Ron does all the wrapping so I'm good on that.
QOTD: Yes, but my brother took and showed me all my gifts at the age of 7 and ruined Christmas for me. Atter that since I was the youngest, they never really hid anything after that.
Accountability: Those Rolo Prestel things were on my breath last night.
Accountability: Some cookie crumbs and peanuts.
