What's on your Monday Menu?
Good morning all and Happy Monday,
It's a good day to be alive. Well, except for seeing the dentist this morning. Reframing Matt would say that I get to take care of my health nowadays and that includes the dentist. I would like to hold on to my chompers as long as possible and this is part of the deal. I mostly wrote that for the benefit of my attitude this morning.
It was a decent weekend. I did things around the house, ran errands, and ate good food. I did bookkeeping for the club. I spent time with an old lady, 'Pickles.' I did an acrylics art class yesterday, which was my 'try something new' for the week. I met up with Paula last night for dinner and it's looking like the beginning of the end.
QOTD- I asked my aunt this since she's been doing weigh****chers since the 90s. She said that she's sad a lot of locations closed, including her nearest location, and that they stopped selling branded food. However, she says she'll keep doing it and drive to a farther location for weigh ins. Also, she asked if I now regret getting gastric sleeve since Ozempic exists. I replied that the Sleeve wasn't a cure all like a pill. It has taught me to eat a sustainable diet and incorporate other positives like accountability, Obesity Help, and motivates me to tackle other parts of life.
Accountability: scoop of toasted marshmallow ice cream.
B: Dannon Light and Fit Coconut Yogurt, Tangerine.
L: Salad with char Siu pork, tangerine, almonds, maybe a rice wine vinaigrette.
D: TBD - Dinner with sissypoo.
HW: 371 SW(8/9/21): 324 CW: 215. 0 lbs til goal of skin reduction surgery. I'm still looking for a new plastic surgeon.

I suspect that we will find the pill isn't the cure all either, just another tool. It's good to have a variety of tools.

Good Morning! Im glad you got a true Secret Santa gift, well deserved. Speaking of well deserved, I hope you have plans to rest that knee. My weekend flew by with wrapping, shopping and errands. I agree, I'm not sure how Christmas is a week away!
QOTD: I'll be honest I didn't know WW had shifted. That seems strange to me. I do feel we all need to find what works for us but for meds a think a dr should be involved.

G'morning all!
Having a hard time keeping my eyes open. Stayed up till 2:00 to finish a couple of craft/Xmas projects and got up at 4:00 to leave the house by 4:30 for the airport. Presently sitting at the gate, smelling the coffee but not finding it. You don't want me on a 5 hr flight with no coffee in me.
Brag time:
Project 1: A cropped sweater I made for DD for Xmas. It's one of those sweaters that nowadays younger ladies wear with a tank top underneath.
Project 2: a baby blanket for a very special baby girl, hence all the hearts. The blanket was the main reason I was up till 2:00. Had to fini**** so they could pick it up this morning.
QOTD: on one hand I am happy the whole industry is finally acknowledging that obesity is not a lack of willpower but a disease like diabetes. On the other hand WW keeps changing tunes, but according to an interview with the CEO that's what companies do, they evolve. I have no idea how it would work through WW asking for medication.
My meals yesterday:
- Coffee
- Hb egg, tuna, chips
- Xmas crack, L&F yogurt
- Unexpected cheddar spread and soy crackers
- E: nope
Happy start of the week!
