Good monring! Nope. I don't think I have ever entered a contest. I used to try to get through to the radio dj and request a song however. "Tell me you're middle-aged without saying you're middle-aged" LOL.
I got some super cute new glasses in the mail but (speaking of middle damn age) they are progressives and I CANNOT get used to them. I only see clearly when looking straight through like a one inch section and then it's all weird and wonky and so I gave up. I hope I can return them.
Grim, so glad you're on the mend - wishing you continued healing so you can get back to regularly scheduled programming. Thank god you have a mini chauffer. Keep on keeping on with that PT. And ham cat of course.
Julia, I will come up to MA and sit on you if you don't stay off that knee next week!!!!!
I got home at 11:30 pm and got a decent 7 hours of sleep in. I was so tired. I feel good today. My boss is out for two weeks as of Monday so today is me getting everything out of his brain to cover for him. Thank god I adore him.
Meals are all over the place, I need to hit the grocery maybe at lunch.
B: Half of the rest of a turkey sandwich from the airport I schlepped home. Cold leftovers for the win! I am in good company with QJB and White Dove!
L: Either a rotisserie chicken or 1/3 of a Chipotle burrito bowl
D: Salmon and baked potatoes for rest of the family
E: Nothing today, but signed up for jazzercise tomorrow! It's good to be back.
Have a most wonderful Friday and weekend all. Countdown to holiday break!
progressives are definitely harder to get used to! I never order those online, though, since they're more complicated than single-lens glasses. I now order all my distance-only and reading-only glasses online, though. I can't justify paying hundreds of dollars for a pair of glasses that probably cost $50 to make (materials + labor). Someone is making a killing off those!
I order my progressives online all the time. I never had a problem. When I first was prescribed progressives, they told me to wear a few hours go back to old ones and switch out till I got used to them. Also, the first time I ordered from Payne Glass. they sent me a paper ruler to hold up and take a photo so that when they made my glasses they would hit in the correct places. I hope you find comfort in them. Good luck.

G'morning all!
Yesterday's iron infusion was a doozy. I was in there 9-12. Then I had a couple of other things to do and by 5:00 I was shivering and feeling like I'm coming down with a cold. DH was working from home so I sent him out to get me wonton soup. At home I had sweatpants, sweat shirt, heating pad and soup and I was still shivering. Went to bed with a couple of Tylenols and this morning I feel just a slight headache. I hope every infusion is not like this. I still have to do 2 more.
QOTD: nope. Ions ago, when on the radio they used to do something like that I would call on my way to work. Guess when was the only time I was put through? This lady who would tell you when you die. Obv not many people were calling, they asked me a couple of times if I'm sure I wanna know. I had gotten through at last I was not gonna say no. So after my talk I called DH and said I don't wanna put money away for 401K because I won't reach the age to use it, I wanna spend the money now.
My meals yesterday:
- Coffee
- Epic chicken, protein smoothie
- Xmas crack, choc covered cherries
- Wonton soup
- E: nope
Happy Fri-yay!

If I recall, the first infusion is a lighter one, to get your body adjusted to it. Those who I know that had them said the first was by far the worst. Hang in there.
