Good morning ~ Love the meme! When I tried IF, the only thing that kept me from sticking to it was coffee. Coffee always wins. I had a great day yesterday - busy, new issues resolved, and a new collab for a monthly project will save me a huge amount of time. Progress. I have a couple little meetings and errands today and project work. I can't believe how fast this week and month are going. 2023 for that matter, did I blink?

QOTD - No, not that I remember. I only go to the movies if I really want to see something specific so even if its bad, I stay. But Gigli? Not sure I could make it through either, lol.

Accountability - good, 192.2 today

b- coffee x 4

l- leftover chipotle

d - 96/4 gr beef, spicy marinara sauce w/sauteed onion, peppers and mushroom base for 'noodles' and parm

s - beef jerky

e - 15 minute rebounder/15 min yoga - done

v/w check

Have a great day!

Good morning, everybody!

Big day on the Secret Santa front. I got my package out to the mail and I implemented the ruling that I received from QJB and opened my gift. This was a great idea, Matt.

Summer doings. Marilyn and my friends have wanted to go to the tennis tournament in Toronto at the beginning of August. Toronto and Montreal alternate annually between hosting mens and women's events. In 2024, the women will be in Toronto. Tennis tournaments usually last two weeks. So the trip would be either the weekend of August 2 or the weekend of August 9.

The tennis fans wanted to go the first weekend because there would be more matches and they could see more of the players, even though the matches wouldn't be as high quality as the second weekend, which would be the championship.

But I had been wanting to try the Sprint Triathlon in Naperville, a Chicago suburb. It is a one quarter mile swim, 22 Kilometer bike ride and 5K run. And it is on August 4. Resolving the Triathlon/Tennis scheduling conflict was on our to do list for the winter break.

Well, I'm driving to lifting yesterday and what do I hear, but the DJ talking about Journey and Def Leppard touring mostly alongside Steve Miller and Cheap Trick, but also three shows with Heart. Def Leppard and Journey could be fun (OK, I hated Journey when I was young, but have mellowed, I guess). And I've seen both Steve Miller and Cheap Trick live. But I really, really want to see Heart. I figured only three shows, probably none would be in Chicago, but I would research where the shows would be and maybe I could travel somewhere and cavort with my OH friends.

As it turns out, they are playing in Toronto on Friday August 2nd. So we are going to go up to Toronto, see the concer****ch tennis over the weekend and maybe go to the Blue Jays game on Tuesday. As for the Sprint Triathlon?

I decided to enter the Chicago Triathlon which is August 24 and 25th. Still a Sprint, but a little different. The main difference between the Chicago and Naperville events is that the Chicago swim is longer (.47 miles vs. .22 miles) and it is in Lake Michigan as opposed to in a shallow reservoir in the suburbs. So it will be colder and there will be more current. I am going to have to do a lot more swimming to prepare for that.

On the plus side, the event is huge with a lot of media coverage and it is a much more scenic setting, being right on the Lake in downtown Chicago.

The car comes to pick us up at 9:40. I need to look at something for work, shower and finish packing.

QOTD: I don't believe that I have walked out, but I have definitely dozed off. Most movies over the last 25 years have been selected based on what our children want to see.

Food is kind of up in the air today. I had a protein bar for breakfast.

Have a great day, all!

I saw Heart play with Styx, it was a fun show. A half mile swim is about 800 meters. I used to swim approx 900 meters in 30 minutes, my pace was steady but slow. That was in a 25 meter heated pool though.

They are promoting that show here in Pittsburgh and we have Steve Miller on the bill. I am tempted to get tickets but now I see it is our family picnic weekend so that's a big "I'm out" from me.

Good morning all and Happy Fri-yay Junior,

I have my 6 week surgery follow up today. I'm expecting the rest of my limitations to be lifted. I'll be back pumping iron, crossing my legs, and tying my shoes by noon.

QOTD- I don't remember the last movie I left before the end. I used to stay for a 'double feature' so leaving a movie early wasn't that rare. I was usually strategic and left if the movie was a stinker and I wanted to see another movie in it's entirety. I do remember how horrible House Party 3 was and that we were the only people in the theatre.

After their heyday, Play became a born again Christian, did Christian Hip Hop, sand taught classes on Hip Hop at North Carolina Central college.

Kid N' Play today:

B: Dannon Light and Fit Coconut Yogurt, Tangerine.

L: Ham and Swiss carb Smart tortilla quesadilla, carrots.

D: 1/2 slice Malnatis, salad, rotisserie chicken.

HW: 371 SW(8/9/21): 324 CW: 215. 0 lbs til goal of skin reduction surgery. I'm still looking for a new plastic surgeon.

.Other than class last night (which went really well!), the day was back to back customer service. So many people with so many questions. I will never understand the person who contacts me through my website where 90% of what I have listed are classes, clicks the contact button to ask me: "do you offer classes?". I also had someone yesterday insist that the time for one of my classes is different on the website than it was in the confirmation. It isn't. And on and on. I'm used to one weird question or demand a day, but yesterday had about ten. I hope this is not a sign of what is to come in the next few weeks as holiday stress increases. People are weird.

QJB- It doesn't surprise me that you get contacted so much with questions. People be peopling. I can't decide if people have been accustomed to being spoon fed all information, are too lazy to read anything in entirety, or are incapable of processing information. My favorite questions are incomprehensible safety questions like, 'Can I use this toaster in my bathtub?'

Mornin' All!

it's supposed to get up to 50F this afternoon, so I think I'll go biking. If not that, then walking. There will be plenty o' cold and/or snowy days for the gym and YouTube videos. Today is a day to exercise outside.

in addition, I'll be making biscotti for two weekend cookie parties either tonight or tomorrow (will probably hold off until tomorrow, although biscotti keeps for quite a few days..)

QOTD: I don't think so, although I fell asleep once during a midnight showing of "Woodstock" back in the 70s, which ticked my then-boyfriend off to no end. But what was he expecting? A midnight showing of a three-hour movie? I have no qualms about turning off movies I'm streaming, though. No sense wasting an hour or two of my life on something that isn't very engaging. I don't go to theaters for movies very often anymore, but since online reviews are very accessible, I don't go see one unless it has really great reviews.

B: coffee with half & half, protein muffin, half a pumpkin yogurt

MS: the other half of my pumpkin yogurt?

L: the rest of the day is up in the air - maybe a Jimmy Dean's Delight breakfast sandwich? (the one with turkey sausage and an eggwhite - in other words, the "diet" version)

AS: Ratio yogurt

D: no clue. If I'm not in the mood to make anything, then half a veggie burger and some vegetables.

have a great day, everyone!
