What's on your Wednesday Menu?

Happy Hump Day! I feel like I can barely account for anything I did yesterday but then I remember that it took me over 3 hours to apply for one job. Ugh. But it's one I am well qualified for and it's nearby, so hopefully they consider me.

I am teaching tonight (past my bedtime, lol), so today is just a little prep and plenty of rest :)

QOTD: What is your least favorite online or social media behavior? I really despise the "vaguebook" people who drop some little hint about something not going well but then don't elaborate. If something is wrong, don't drop a hint--tell me what is happening or if you don't want to talk about it, don't say anything. My cousin's wife is always asking for thoughts and prayers without saying why. Or she does a Facebook check in at the hospital and asks people to pray for her son, but won't say what is happening. It's such an odd and annoying way to get attention, imo.

qotd - it's a cross between the vague booking and the need to yuck somebody's yum. Why comment on something just to say you hate it? Someone will be excited about something and people just make a point to comment they hate it. I see a lot of that. For example, there's a Star Trek group that is making "you've heard of Elf on a shelf, now see..." and they give you a visual clue to guess...it's dumb but can be funny especially the guesses...but there's always one who just comments "these are so dumb" "I hate December because of that" etc

long meeting day today but I'm off for Starbucks before heading to the office for a 7 am meeting. Then no idea about the rest of the day but a colleague and I are having dinner and visiting a local bookshop so it will be a good day.

I feel lucky that my cookie page doesn't get too many trolls, but I've seen other cookie people who post a picture and get comments like, "too sweet - yuck" or "so unhealthy". Why would you seek out a page about something you don't like just to post a random hate comment. So odd.

Exactly! I mean I could go to all the sports ball sites just to comment that I don't like sportsball but what's the point?

So many better uses of that time!

This exists even between sports ball types. People comment on baseball stories with "Baseball is dead. I haven'****ched a game in 20 years. At least hockey is on." And yet, here you are discussing something you hate?

Or even make the effort to create an account to disagree. People are wild.

I thought of you when I saw this unique Christmas tree. I am sure more than a few of you would be able to pool it off with the amount you all read.
