What's on your Tuesday Menu?
Lake George is a great place to visit in the summer and eerily quiet in the winter! Adirondacks are beautiful!

G'morning all!
QJB - you made me laugh with your wine after your eating window closes! Also, thanks for putting the secret Santa list together, I am very happy with my person.
I am happy to report that Xmas shopping for DD is done! I just have to wrap everything. On the other hand I just received DS's list and honest to god don't understand 2/3 of his list. So I passed the torch to DH and told him to take care of it, because I don't even know what those things are. Other than that DH and his bday and Xmas presents as usual is my major dilemma.
QOD - we are in a funk TV wise, and can't seem to get invested in a new series. For books I love the new version of Audible that tells me a new book in various series I have read has come out. So I'm just catching up with a couple of old series (mostly murder/detective stories).
My meals yesterday:
- Coffee
- Left over koor kling
- L&F creme brûlé, epic chicken
- TJ kebabs w/fage yogurt
- E: 5 miles walk
Happy Taco Tue!

Mornin' All!
My civil rights history class ends this week (today is the penultimate day), and the others end next week. I don't know what I'll do with all the free time, since I've dropped out of almost everything else (since I was feeling over-committed). But for the time being, I'll ENJOY the free time! Today I have class, a presentation at one of the care facilities, and then I have to pick up my mother from her medical clinic (her facility's driver will take her there - I'm just on the pick up committee). Other than that, I should probably plan for meals for the rest of the week. We've pretty much worked through the leftovers at this point. Maybe I'll make the red lentil soup that Emily posted about (thanks again for the recipe!)
QOTD: other than the movies I watch for my film discussion groups, I mostly watch news-oriented shows on YouTube (i.e., those that were originally broadcast on TV), so I'm not of much help here!
coffee with half & half
plain skyr with cranberry sauce
protein shake (?)
"superfood" veggie slaw with Thai dressing
Ratio yogurt
no clue on dinner. If I don't get my act together before then, maybe a veggie burger or a Jimmy Dean's D'Light English muffin with turkey sausage, cheese, and egg
have a great day, everyone!
Good Morning Queen JB and Menuers,
Thanks for the enchilada update. I want to make a ground beef dish tomorrow. with sauce and Banza pasta with cheeses and now that you mentioned the ricotta, I have a pint left I will throw in there before it goes bad. I also saw Shaved brussels sprout salad with pomegranate and cranberry and apple I want to try because I think it will be the salad, I serve with Christmas dinner. We are doing beef wellington and I think the salad will be a good starter. I plan on doing 4 more lugs of Christmas decorations tonight. I did 4 last night. I figure if I do 4 each night all I will have left for the weekend is to put up the ornament holders. That will be good for a calm weekend. And I can get the Secret Santa squared away.
QOTD: Well, if you weren't so antsy to get your Christmas decorating done and just enjoyed the fall you would have that to do. I'm just saying. But if you really need something to do bake us all cookies and send them, please.

"Every day is a good day. There is something to learn, care and celebrate." - Amit Ray
Good morning! Rog has an early dentist appointment this morning, and he was getting ready in the bathroom during my normal get ready for the day time. So I was lying in bed giggling at a string of texts from friends that has been coming in and he came out and was like "what's up?" So I was sharing with him and he came over to kiss me goodbye and I hugged him and said happy anniversary! And next time I see you, you will have teen cleath." And then I really started cracking up. I'm just saying, giggling and laughing in bed before you even start the day has to be a sign that it is going to be a great day.
My accountability for yesterday was pretty good. I had to run through Costco, and on the way through I was given a churro bite, two kinds of chocolate and the new Whisps cheddar pops. I ate the pops, ate the churro, pocketed the chocolates. Then I went to See's to get Rog a gift and I was given another chocolate to add to the pocket. I brought them home, added them to the seven layer bar I was saving and managed to NOT eat any of them yesterday. I did add a small glass of nice wine because I had a bit a rib eye for dinner and for me that makes red wine kind of mandatory. But everything in small servings. It was a good day.
Today is my FORTY THIRD wedding anniversary. I mean, I am not even that old according to my brain, so I am not sure how this happened. My nearly 42 year old kid is proof that it has though. I have a big and busy day today. Heading to the gym soon for 30 minutes recumbent bike, 30 minutes of treadmill and 55 minutes of water aerobics. The dogs are going to groomers and then to doggy k9 camp. And Roger and I have an overnight stay at one of the nearby Indian Casino's with reservations at their nice restaurant. The overnight stay is free because it was sent to us via another program we participate in and they threw in $100 towards dinner or gambling. We picked dinner. So the only unknowns are wine and gambling.
QoTD: totally in a rut over here. Finishing up The Crown, still watching Homeland. GBBO is done. I'm reading like crazy but not really loving much. Though I have the new Tom Hanks book from my neighbor and she said it's really enjoyable. I'll start that next.

B: chicken breast and cottage cheese, 1/4 of avo and EBTB
L: probably more chicken, Whisps pops, string cheese
D: TBD -- but I'm guessing I'll be having a bite of dessert tonigh!
Peace Everybody.
