Good morning, everybody!

I'm glad that Emily posted about Secret Santa, because Marilyn had deleted our message before I saw it. Since I have over 250,000 emails archived on my work computer, I am not one to criticize other's email management practices. But I have my info now and i'm off and running. Are people leaving return addresses off of the package?

Marilyn has been trying to repair the Bumble.

We must have had some sort of power surge or something, because it has over 100 light bulbs burned out. Marilyn replaced the fuses and now is going through and replacing the lightbulbs. So far, she has the torso and head lit up and is working her was through the arms and legs.

Unfortunately, every brand of lightbulb has its own sized fitting so she is reduced to replacing the glass part of the bulb only, which is a way more time consuming process than just popping a bulb in the socket. Remove the old light from the socket, gently pull the old glass out of the hardware, straight the wires on the new bulb, insert them into the old hardware, adjust the wires, replace the fixed build in the socket.

I think it is pretty safe to say that we are paying more for replacement bulbs than the factory paid for them originally. I did check out whether this repair is costing more than the price of a new Bumble, and much to my surprise, it isn't, even buying 100 replacement bulbs.

My youngest has his last in person final today, I think he has two take homes that he says will be easy. He comes home on Saturday. My older son has about another week of school. He is going straight to Houston to meet us next week.

QOTD: People were talking about No Country For Old Men yesterday. For people who found that too light and airy, I am reading Blood Meridian. Other than that we have been watching Hercule Poirot mysteries on Britbox and lots of football.

Breakfast: English muffin

Lunch: Roast Beef

Dinner: Ravioli

Have a great day, all!

I love Bumble, Marilyns efforts - a labor of love right there! I was thinking the same about mailing my SS package - leaving the name off if possible.

Good morning Jb and menu friends. I have been busy with work, preparing for annual ISO audit, our ISO coordinator gave his notice and last day will by one day following the iSO audit. Preparing budgets for 2024, and just all around busy!

I noticed I missed some fun while I have been away, darn.

Still plugging away and doing well. Joddie and I took the day off yesterday and drove to the Outlets at Lake George Ny. about 2 hours South of us, we have to drive through the Adirondacks. Was a very strange weather day, woke up to snow that changed to rain, Higher elevations had snow, roads were clear, Lake George was 45 and comfy. The drive home was fine with temps dropping as we got closer to home and then bang, 40 minutes from home a drastic temperature drop and snow.

We did get some great deals though. I was able to get a new Winter jacket from Gap ($49), comfortably in a Large now!!!

QOTD - we have started " The Lincoln Lawyer on Netflix and really enjoy it.

B - Raspberries and 2 good yogurt

L - Chili

As - cukes and ranch

D- Chicken stir fry
