Good morning, everybody!

I slept late today and was planning on skipping lifting. Then I said, "if my coach texts me I will go, and if not, I'll skip." Sure enough, when I went downstairs I had a text, so I bunked up and headed out. These next four or five weeks are the only time all year, when I really have to push myself to be active. It's cold and dark and home seems so snuggly.

It's funny the connections that we make through OH. I was driving home the other day and the DJ was talking about how he was broadcasting live from Pismo Beach. I never would have known where that was or anything about it, but as soon as I heard him, I thought "that's where Kelly and Emily go to take a beach day."

I signed up for the Reindeer Run again. It's on Saturday morning at 8:30. It was only 24 degrees this morning, hopefully it will warm up before the weekend. I haven't ran 5K since I did this one last year, but I'm a sucker for decorative headgear.

Wishing Grim an uneventful surgery and recovery. Knee replacement surgery is supposed to be fairly painful. I am told much worse than hip replacement. From the sounds of it, Grim did awesome with the first knee.

Today, I have started my antibiotics at home for the abdominal abscess. They have prescribed 2 pretty strong drugs (Vancomycin and Entapenem). I am hoping this will clear up the infection and get me going in the right direction for recovery. Otherwise, not a lot to report on my end. Just eating per schedule, PT exercises, and resting. I am thinking of starting a beginner chair or basic yoga or Pilates class using Youtube. Just need to get back in the groove of things. I have had days where I have been feeling down about my situation, but it isn't going to change unless I do mentally. I just want to feel better, stronger, and back to "normal".

QOTD: I like to walk around Cabellas and even look at stuff that I don't do (like hunting and fishing). So much to see.

Eating every 2-3 hours. PT exercises, maybe a Youtube video.

Please follow the doctors' orders. If you need to heal that wound stretching and moving may not be the best answer. Do not do anything without the docs' permission please.
