Today I learned about automats! I've been places that have a vending machine type of this. On a turnstile with doors and you could get a cheeseburger or grab and go food that was better than candy or chips. It was pretty popular!

Morning all! It seems like you are all nearly ready for the Thanksgiving feast. Here's hoping you all have a wonderful break.
QOTD: Parade. Football doesn't interest me that much. If they were still playing baseball . . .
Here is a snippet from William Bradford's "Of Plimoth Plantation," the most complete history written during those early years. As you enjoy your Thanksgiving turkey, think of these puritanical exiles, driven from their English homes, seeking religious freedom in the new world.
There was a youth whose name was Thomas Granger; he was servant to an honest man of Duxbery. His father & mother lived at the same time at Sityate. He was this year detected of buggery (and indicted for the same) with a mare, a cowe, two goats, five sheep, two calves, and a turkey. Horrible it is to mention, but the truth of the historie requires it. He was first discovered by one that accidentally saw his lewd practise towards the mare. (I forbear perticulers.) In the end he not only confest the fact with that beast at that time, but sundrie times before, and at severall times with all the rest of the forenamed in his indictmente; and this his free-confession was not only in private to the magistrats, (though at first he strived to deney it,) but to the whole court & jury. And wheras some of the sheep could not so well be knowne by his description of them, others with them were brought before him, and he declared which were they, and which were not. And accordingly he was cast by the jury, and condemned, and after executed about the 8th of Sept^r, 1642. A very sade spectakle it was; for first the mare, and then the cowe, and the rest of the lesser catle, were kild before his face, according to the law, Levit: 20. 15. and then he him selfe was executed. The catle were all cast into a great & large pitte that was digged of purposs for them, and no use made of any part of them.

Remember those days before spelling was standardized in some form or fashion? Fortunately, I don't. That's a hard read. Also...ugh.

Mornin y'all!
I had an unexpected appointment pop up today and I have two tomorrow. Today is with my peer support match. Tomorrow is with my psychiatric NP and to do paperwork there. Ugh on tomorrow. The NP is nice but always mention to lose weight...like I'm not aware that I'm fat! Oh and like it will magically fix my bi-polar disorder. lol
I got the stuff to make a jalapeño popper cheese ball. I kept going back and forth on it but bit the bullet and got the stuff. I am more excited about it than anything else.
I got a lot done yesterday but I paid a hefty price in the pain department. So is life now.
QOTD: parade if I had to choose but neither is my thing. I went to a hell week game in HS with our in town rival. It is a BIG thing here. Someone on my schools team released a pig covered in grease in the other team's school. It was sooo stupid and unnecessary. The game would've been fun if people were not fighting over it.
B: chicken and coffee

I've never made, or eaten a cheese "ball." How does one ballify cheese?

Good morning ~ Rest that knee!! That meme, haha sounds like us when we do our own T-day meal on the Friday after. We cook for an army and end up wasting most of it. This year we seriously paired down the sides and quantity and now I worry there won't be enough! Yesterday's pizza party was a great send off for my parting staff member. Management decided to announce my units reorg to staff ahead of the BOS approval but turns out it won't bring back the one leaving, boo. Everyone else is pretty excited about the opportunities. Lots of changes are coming, but these are the kind I like. Time to overhaul and get rid of 30 years of 'but we've always done it that way'. A fresh start working smarter. Today is all about reports though, tick-tock...
QOTD - Football for sure! The bigger the rivalry, the better! I want to go to NYC more than I want to see the parade in particular - but I would love that too.
Accountability - Good, but I has a few bites of this graham cracker icebox cake - omg. I can't go back in time and un-taste that deliciousness and it will forever be in my dreams. 196 today!
b- coffee x 4, cottage cheese
