Good Morning! For the 6th day in a row, I baked my butt off from 5:30am - 3:30pm with only a few breaks. I am close to the finish line, but I couldn't make myself finish last night. My knee is soooooo ready for me to stop standing on it. I got out of bed this morning and I think I could actually hear my knee yell at me to sit back down. Almost there, little buddy! Almost there.

QOTD: You must choose one! Would you rather spend Thanksgiving at the Macy's Day Parade in NYC or at a local Football rivalry? I'm sure we'd all rather be inside--warm and stuffing our faces with pie, but if you were forced to do one or the other, where would you be? I have never been to a local football rivalry and I have heard some of them are super fun, but nonetheless, I am heading to the parade! I've been to a few NYC parades and they really know how to do it right. I am sure it would be a ton of fun.

Accountability: My "detox" day went okay. I liked the Fairlife Protein a lot! I usually really dislike pre-bottled ones because they leave a weird aftertaste but this one was good! I could only handle two, though. I had egg white bites for dinner, and I snuck a few pieces of cheese mid-morning. So not a rousing success, but better than what I have been doing!

  • Protein coffee
  • Egg White Bite
  • Fairlife Protein Shake
  • ?? - maybe another egg bite?--mostly because I think I need to start eating down the fridge to make room for what's coming on Thursday.

Good morning! That's awesome you're almost done with cookies - please do a final tally tomorrow as to how many cookies and icing bags you did in November!

Football for sure. I love the crowd energy and the bated breath and the cheers. I think a parade sounds SO boring - you stand and watch floats go by? Why is that even a thing? Ok, I sound judgy! It just doesn't get my juices flowing.

Your meme is awesome. With the kids we keep it much simpler and have 4 sides and turkey and ham and their favorite, cranberry shaped like a can! I can't deviate from their favorites haha. But for a Friendsgiving I love to try new things or fancier things!

I'll be working from my hotel room in Philly today while my mom has her procedure at the hospital. They're calling for cold rain rain and more rain. I'll stay inside. She got us soup from a deli in Reading Terminal Market (which is 10 feet away) and there is leftover pizza (which is what she wanted last night and since she can't eat until tomorrow I wasn't going to say no) so I guess those are my meals. Plus, coffee.

B maybe a piece of pizza?

L: ah perhaps I'll go next door to Panera and get a salad actually. Must look at their menu and see which one

D: yummy matzo ball soup from Hershel's deli!

Have a most splendid Tuesday!

Can-berry!! Do they actually eat it or just look at it. Both are acceptable approaches just curious.

also -- stand and look at floats, with music and costumes and sparkle and sometimes dancing or candy? Or sit and watch grown people throw a ball while other grown people spill beer and fight over which number and color is better at throwing the ball?

Oh they eat it! It's pure sugar - they love it! I grew up on it too and I'm not gonna lie, I will have a slice on turkey day!

Hmmm when you put it that way, a parade does sound more fun lol. I just don't see the appeal of standing on the side of the street to see floats with big cartoon turkeys. Now, a Pride parade - I am there!

That cranberry crap is made just a few miles from here. They actually pay a cop, every single day, to direct traffic when the plant gets off work in the afternoon. We can drive for miles and just see endless cranberry bogs.

Hmmm when you say ?cranberry crap? Do you mean the jellied stuff that plops out of a can with ridges, or are you referring to all cranberries, which are offensive due to being a fruit?

The can-shaped stuff. It's fruit, so it must be healthy, right?

The other thing I remember from when I was very young was brown bread in a can. They'd cut off the top and bottom of the can, and push the bread out. The sixties really loved their cans.

I read potatoes in a can in a recipe and I thought it was a typo. Had to go to the grocery store to check it out, and they had it!!!

Now I wanna see this bread in a can.

I'll have to look and see if it's still made. It's been years since I've thought about it. And I had forgotten about potatoes in a can. That just seems really silly, doesn't it?
