She likes whiskey, right? Maybe a whiskey advent calendar?

No, it is Scotch, and it is gut rot crap she buys in a plastic bottle. Just wish I could get her something new and exciting that she would appreciate but after 85 year I guess that is out of the question. She is to set in her ways.

When I did a distillery tour in Scotland, I learned "all scotch are whisky but not all whisky is scotch"...and bourbon is at least 51% corn. Also, whiskey is the American and Irish spelling but Whisky is everywhere else. The said something about the United States and Ireland having e in their name and their whiskey but I forgot how they put it. Anyway, new random bits of useless info!

I knew all Bourbon was whiskey but not all whiskey is Bourbon. I think whiskey just means it has been distilled. Do not quote me.

I looked it up and anything distilled from grain is technically a whiskey. So, grain based vodka is actually a whiskey. Potato based vodka is not.

I think it is aged too, unlike other distilled liquors.

I always thought I loved sauerkraut, we had it a lot growing up. Then I'll have a bite or two and remember I only like it on Ruben's. Girl, you got this! Take it one choice at a time and build on that.
