What's on your Thursday Menu?
Good morning! Our weather went from picture perfect to thunderstorms yesterday. Weird, but fun. I made it to the Y and got my orientation and the class schedules. This place is pretty new and has more equipment than I have ever seen. Now Rog wants to join so I guess this will be our next thing. I can already see the plan. Workout in the morning and then he will want to go to lunch so workout will be a wash. I'm going to have to work hard to resist that. I was completely on track with food and beverages yesterday.
Today is on the busy side for me. Have to take my car in for some warranty work here shortly. Then I want to take the Aqua Fit class at the indoor pool this morning at the Y. My first official class. I don't love being in the water, but it will give me a route to exercise that is gentle on my slowly healing ankle. Then I have PT and after that we are going to friends of Roger's for dinner? Happy Hour? I'm not sure what but I know there will be wine served so I need to exercise restraint.
QoTD: Two doors down. And now I will be singing that all day in my head
Menu today is
B: leftover chicken thigh and corn
L: leftover pork chop and acorn squash
D: TBD -- but my contribution is phyllo dough crisps with honey, goat cheese and salt
Peace Everybody!

He saw a new doc yesterday. The office staff told him he had to. And the doc was like "what the hell? You are fully approved and qualified and they just need to get you scheduled". Rog told him the office people were just running him around and the Doc texted the surgeon himself while Rog was sitting there. Told us to give them one day to reach and then start calling the office. So I am hoping by end of tomorrow, we have a surgery date!
Does he have good insurance. Some doctors just do this to get the most out of insurance that they can. I hope it gets scheduled soon. Even if it needs to be with a different surgeon. Good luck to Rog and maybe a Merry Christmas with sugar plum Fairys to you.

We have killer insurance. The Elevator Union is a very strong force and we are blessed to benefit from it.
We really like the surgeon and our beloved PCP recommended him. It seems to be his office staff that can't get their crap together.
And if we can get it done this year, deductibles are already met. Though even that is no big deal. He's got a $300.00 dollar deductible cap.
I had always thought of the Y as an old style gym, but the one I saw in Monterey blew me away. Wish we had a Y close by because it's like a club.

Massage room? Oh la-la, ours doesn't but if it did, kids or no kids, that would be my new home.

The one in our town is really nice, but there are so many little kids there all the time it drives me crazy. It's not that I don't like kids, they are just a huge distraction and sometimes very annoying.
