What's on your Monday Menu?
Mornin' All!
One of my film discussion groups meets this morning; class this afternoon. In between I'll get out and walk or bike since it'll be in the high 50s today, sunny, and not windy. Actually, the whole week looks terrific weather-wise!
QOTD: I always look forward to playing certain games every morning: wordle, worldle, globle, globle capitals, waffle, and at least one version of redactle. I used to do online crossword puzzles every day, too, but I don't do those as often anymore. Should get back to it - all these games I play are actually good for the brain (in addition to being fun). I also like to watch news- and political-related videos on YouTube when I'm bored - things like Amanpour interviews, things from MSNBC, Steve Schmidt (and more - those are just the ones coming to mind at the moment) - and Jimmy Kimmel's monologues (political in a different way - I think he's hilarious!)
B: pumpkin yogurt topped with high fiber cereal (if I'm hungry - I'm trying to pay more attention to hunger/fullness cues)
MS: protein shake (will take to the film group meeting)
L: microwavable thing - "Harvest Grain Bowl"
AS: Greek yogurt and raspberries before heading to class
D: leftover mushroom tortelloni with marinara sauce, salad
have a wonderful day, everyone!
Good morning, everybody!
Boy did K-State pound Baylor. I think that it was 35-7 by the end of the first quarter. The K State spirit squad was doing pushups for each point and I think that by games end, they were in danger of Rhabdomylosis from all of the exertion: 7,14,21,28,35,38,45,52, and 59.
I will say that those were not full range of motion push-ups, although my form during Murph is probably at least that bad.
Onto the food, though. At Lidias we ordered a Buratta/Proscuitto appetizer and I had duck with pancetta and Brussels sprouts. What made the Buratta was this salad with an incredible dressing: just simple oil, lemon and salt, but so tangy and fre****'s amazing how bad supermarket salad dressing can be.
Barolo with dinner. There was plenty of leftovers for dinner when we got back from the game.
For brunch, I got the biscuits and gravy and we split a coffee cake piece. The biscuits and gravy were good but I do like butter and jelly on my biscuits, if I'm being honest.
Stadium food is stadium food.
DD said that Manhattan Kansas has a Killer of the Flowers Moon vibe to her, but people were nice and it's a very good stadium.
QOTD: Aside from the things that everyone looks at (sports, weather, WTSO, Sak's Fifth Avenue watch section, etc) I use the Wodify app frequently.
Breakfast: English muffin
Lunch: catered
Dinner: Fish
Have a great day, all!

Good Morning Queen JB and Menuers,
I hope that interview comes through for you today. 1.5 miles is walkable if the weather cooperates. I saw Amy went to wonderland this weekend. Thank is great news.
I went to happy hour on Friday and ended up with a 2-day hangover. Not complaining. I left my car and Ron came to pick me up. It's all good and had a blast. Now I got that out of my system I need to get focused on health and exercise. I really would like to lose about 15lbs, but my heart has not been into it much lately. I also got all my desserts done for Thanksgiving making my weight loss attempts not looking to promising.
