I should have added, Dad has had Parkinsons for 7 years, will be 80 in March. He is able to get around with a walker. But needs to be careful as you are right, falls are scary with his condition and age factor...

That must have been scary for your mom. Glad all is good aside from minore soreness.
How does one fall off a bad? My question is genuine because my mom fell and I didn't have a way to ask her without offending her. Is it they roll or are they trying to get out of bed and fall? Can you be the courageous one and ask your dad?

I fell out of bed one night. I was reaching for something on the floor and lost my balance. It is because of age and being less flexible. I hit my hand on the edge of a wastebasket and it cut into the skin and took a while to heal.

I spoke with them last night, he was asleep and rolled right out of the bed. He had never done that before...so I thnk there was some initial chaos as well! I am glad you were OK, falls are a big concern.

Good Morning Queen JB and Menuers,

Yesterday was one of the worst days of my life. I woke up to a text that My neighbor passed away. He had gone in the have the same surgery I had to repair a hernia he had mesh put in years ago that ended up infected. He battled to get the mesh out and to heal for about 3 years. They finally got all the mesh and infection under control, and this was the last part to put him back together. The surgery was on the 3rd and the last text was he would be home yesterday. Something went wrong and he passed of a massive heart attack sometime Monday afternoon. I was devastated to hear the news. That was Rons best buddy. They were both disabled and kept each other company. I believe my husband may have unalived himself due to his pain if he did not have him in his life to encourage him. I am still a mess. Rudy keeps going on his porch looking for him. That was his good buddy too. This will not pass quickly, and it is so untimely with me leaving for vacation on Saturday. I'm just glad I got Rudy to keep Ron Company at this point.

I did get to book a hot springs trip and a coffee tour while we are away so at least I got that to look forward to.

QOTD: I don't think. I hope to do tons of good but I have never lived outside my means so it will be nice to splurge. I don't have to many close family members left so I won't offended by not sharing all of my immediate family will be taken care of.

Accountability: I was sick to my stomach so I only had 1 snack select and 1/4 of a roasted turkey sandwich. I didn't even get in enough fluids.
