I got that amber alert I think three times on my two phones. And it was on at least one highway sign and a monitor at a gas station I stopped at. They really got it out there! Glad they found her. I hadn't heard.

Good morning ~ I haven't read Agatha Christie anything yet, but will eventually. My read list is so long! I hope you get -through your well written to do list!
Interesting observations about my eating this past week and a half-ish. I'm eating 800-1000 cal (this feels luxurious compared to 600), 80 gr protein and allowing 1 serving of carbs here and there, if it fits. Although I haven't lost, my weight has fluctuated up or down a pound, not the 3 or 4 as usual or more if I am blowing it bad and stay on the high end for a week afterwards. I'm 208 today and was yesterday as well. I can't stay off the scale and weigh only once a week, not happening. When I was doing 600 cal, I was actually gaining because I would be good for 3 days and blow it because I was obsessing, starving or impulsive. I'm not craving anything. I think because my calories are higher and I allow small servings of carbs (planned). I'm not obsessing about food. I haven't touched my snack basket because it doesn't appeal, or I think I can squeeze in a real carb for the same amount of calories which is preferable, but then I don't do that either. I haven't gone over what I plan, no alcohol either. Stable is the word I would use to describe this and I'll take that over the maddening roller coaster anyday. It's quite peaceful here. Going to give this a few more weeks and see what happens. I will figure out my next move when I'm ready.
Work is work. I was able to complete a few things yesterday that were a huge relief, but new Audit findings have me scrambling today along with a contract that needs to be submitted today. It'll get done.
QOTD - I learned to cook very young so it just comes natural to me. I don't follow recipes, I just need to know whats in them then follow my heart. Baking is totally different and I need a recipe.

I don't have a kindle, I have an ipad. I was thinking of getting one though. Which one would you recommend? Paper white or?

You can use the kindle app on the iPad!
I have just the plain old kindle, I didn't want it to be able to do anything but read and I don't love the backlighting. If you get one, get the "with ads" version; it's about 50 cheaper and the ads are only on the Lock Screen and the storefront so very ignorable for $50 off, lol.

Is kindle an app or do I need the actual kindle? I already have an ipad.

Both! I have the app on my phone and iPad; I prefer to read on the kindle because it's easier on my eyes but if I only want to have one thing, I use the app (and it syncs across the devices which is cool).

I really do want the kindle and was eyeing the paperwhite. It's going on my Christmas list.
Thanks for the heads up about the no ads. I wasn't sure how invasive they were.
