Good morning all and Happy Tuesday,

Contrary to others here, I have been getting decent sleep for a change. It is so nice to wake up without being physically exhausted. It was bad where I would wake up and my eyes would be so heavy like after a long, action packed, taxing day. I don't miss that in the AM.

QOTD- Beekeeping is extremely interesting to me. I had the pleasure of meeting a professional Beekeeper a few weeks ago. He maintains hives for DePaul University as well as corporate overlords throughout the city. I was enamored with his knowledge. He also highlighted various buildings throughout the city that keep hives. They're right under Chicago residents' noses and the public has no clue.

B: Dannon Light and Fit Coconut Yogurt, Tangerine.

L: Leftover pizza & 1/2 Fairlife shake.

D: Salad, lamb chops, green beans.

HW: 371 SW(8/9/21): 324 CW: 215. 0 lbs til goal of skin reduction surgery. I'm still looking for a new plastic surgeon.

I raised bees for 4 years over 10 years ago. So much fun sitting next to the hive and watching the worker bees fly in and out. You could see the different colors of pollen collected on their legs. As a matter of fact I still have a quart jar of honey from them. The stuff lasts forever as long as moisture does not get to it. We have wanted to get back into it, but the first year requires a lot of work and I have so much on my plate that I just don't have time yet.

Good morning all!

My bestie is coming for a week long visit. We met when we were 6 and have been like sisters since then. My siblings consider her family as well, which is great as my friend is an only child and has no family left at all. Excited for this visit we get together 3 or 4 times a year and always have a good time doing touristy things. Maybe even take the ferry to the Bahamas for the day, IF she brings her passport.

I been recovering from another autoimmune myelitis attack. Horrific pain and unable to walk. Can now though. I have pain management appointment today, thankfully. Need to up something, maybe increase the lyrica which works well for my neuropathy, although that is only part of my issues. So glad I can get around now so we can do fun things.

QOTD: my neighbor is a bee keeper. We are in a subdivision, but very large lots. I had a big hive hanging from my house. I had her come get and got to watch. She didn't even suit up. Of course there are a ton of bees around my fome, but I have never got stung. So yeah it might be a maybe.

Food nothing really planned. Left over hamburger, yougurt, fruit and I will think of something for dinner. Weight is stable, I only loosely track calories and protein in my head, seems to be working. I am always aware of what I am consuming and aim for the nutrition first.

Oh, how I dislike that kind of sleep. Hope today goes well despite the poor sleep schedule.

Yesterday was spent making my gazillions salads for the week, laundry, and some minor cleaning. I did get to my Pilates class which was great. My favorite as it is weights and bands focused. We have started working on planksgiving and we are doing a 3 minute plank this week. I have been extending it to about 30 seconds longer. Trying to get the endurance up since I need to win the competition this year! Today is work in the office.

I joined the Bariatric Mindset 1 month pop-up course that I heard d about at the OH Conference. Kristin Lloyd was one of the speakers at the conference and I was very inspired by her. She was 400# at one time so has gone through the process and maintained her loss. The course is designed to dive deep into the why of self-sabotage by looking at our core issues that have led us to coping with food or not prioritizing yourself. There are video modules and weekly calls for group discussion..

QOTD: not really.

Accountability: need to cut down on the sf chocolate not awful but could do better.

meals are the usual but have added a low calorie (30 cals by using unsweetened almond milk) chai latte to the mix.
E: yoga, weights.

G'morning all!

Another beautiful Indian summer day for us here on the coast. Not a whole lot planned except for the usual stuff. It dawned on me that my trip is coming up and I haven't bought many things to take to the family. I'm the typical "American Auntie" arriving with tons of stuff for the kids to make them stand out with their friends. One trip I had so many Ugg boots in my suitcases that they thought I'm importing, until I showed them the various pictures of kids and their shoe sizes and went through the whole list. Now that the kids are older and practically adults they are not that forthcoming with what they want so I need to guess. My mom is always forthcoming and sends me a whole list of what she wants.

QOD - nope, not a big fan of bees. I like watching them on documentaries but do not like being close to them. I vividly remember summer of between first and second grade when on a road trip we saw a bee farm. Typical my dad., stopped and said let's go see them. My mom said no and stayed in the car. I went with my dad and from my stupidity I got stung. The bee was going by and I got scared and hit it so it stung me. I was crying in the car so my parents decided to give me my present that they had held on to give me later. It was my absolute firs****ch. So everytime I hear beehive I think of my watch and the sting.

My meals yesterday:

  • Coffee
  • Costco egg bites
  • Iced coffee w/PP, epic chicken
  • TJ kebabs with Fage yogurt as dip
  • E: weights + Hiit

Happy Taco Tue!
