What's on your Tuesday Menu?
I always try to get fruit in season because it's just not all the good once it's out of season. Right now it's apples and pears - although the apples I got the other day at the store were pretty tasteless. I think I'll go out to one of the apple orchards tomorrow and buy a bag. They're a lot more expensive, but they taste a lot better, too...
We have an Italian market that carries all the best produce. I have not been going there because they have steep steps and a really bad parking lot with a lot of holes in it. But I need to go there anyway because the stuff in the supermarket is not that good this time of year.

Good Morning Queen JB and Menuers,
I am a shaver. I wi****hought in my head there was a day I didn't need to shave but that is my OCD. I shave every day. If I shower 2x I shave 2x. I just realized I am about 20 days out from vacation. My friend that owns the B&B called over the weekend to set up rooms for me and my friends. This trip will be cheaper than Ocean city. The flight was less than $400 and our rooms are free. I have to figure out what she can use there when I get there. I'll see what gift we can get as a thank you for having us.
QOTD: Every day. I am a yeller. This morning I had to yell at the dog he was going through my work bag. Yesterday had to yell at mom because she is not drinking her water. I don't yell at Ron as much as I did prior to getting the dog. I am too busy, but he yells at me about the dog all the time. He has to know everything, and we try (Rudy and Me) to hide stuff from him. He also yells because when I leave a room, I never turn lights off. I come from a bunch of yellers so It is a trait I have a hard time stopping.
Accountability: I snacked on peanut butter and whipping cream.

I put a lot of the lights on Alexa. Since I live alone, I have a tendency to leave lights on when I am not at home so it looks like someone is around. I really don't think you save much if any money by turning lights off and on all the time. They used to say it was actually more cost effective to leave them on instead of turning them off and on.

Good morning, everybody!
It's a rainy morning here in Chicago, so we slept in. This week is the last of our fiscal year, so it has a bit of that end of year feel to it.
We had a good weekend. Friday morning's call was every bit as bad as I feared. I don't have many of those left in me. But we got a good turnout for the Heartwalk. The weather held out and 3 miles walking was easy peasy. I did manage to accumulate some sort of record for most parking charges in a day: $30 because I left our garage early, $25 at the event and another $28 back in the garage to bring people back and go to Happy Hour. I am going to expense the $25, and lunch and beer was free.
We went to this outdoor beer and cider garden on the Chicago River. It was fun but the food was only OK. Tater tots with ketchup were probably the best thing on the menu. Friday night I think that I was in bed by 8:30.
Saturday, I went to lift in the morning and we got our new computer in the afternoon. We zipped through the Apple Store (we were a little worried about the Apple 15 release), so went for lunch afterwards. And here's where I screwed up: I didn't notice that the dinner wine list was different than the selections on the lunch menu. It's not like me to miss a reserve list. Am I getting old? Losing my fastball? Or maybe I was just concerned about keeping the computer safe. In any case, I guess the Shafer 1.5 will age until next we meet.
Saturday night was football and tennis, followed by a goofy Melissa McCarthy movie and a few minutes of Tommy Boy. Sunday I went fishing and read.
I have a weightlifting meet Saturday, so today is the last Crossfit for the week:
10 rounds (20 minute time cap)
16 step back lunges with 35 pound dumbell
2 wall walks
Then three rest days.
QOTD: Probably stubbing my pinky toe into a door jamb as I was walking by.
Breakfast: Bagel (4, bagel button depressed, cut sides out)
Lunch: Chicken tacos
Dinner: Hamburgers and Tater tots
Have a great day, all!

It's definitely a different world from what it was. I even wore long pants because I needed something that matched my shirt.

Ouch on the pinky toe. DH broke his toe on vacation doing the exact same thing some years ago.
Good luck on the weightlifting meet. Let us know your stats, your goals for the meet, how you placed (although maybe you are competing against your best times/weights, etc.).
Those parking charges are CRAZY. I don't miss that about living in a larger city. However, when I went to the Tina Musical on Sunday the parking lot was charrgng $20 for event parking since there was a run earlier in the day. Dirty *******s...
