No, I don't think so. I haven't had a booster since Dec. 2021. The newest one is not expected to be available until the week we leave. I'd rather have a little more protection and be freshly vaccinated, vs risking an adverse reaction to the vaccine and feeling like crap on the trip. Since neither Rog or I have never had Covid, we may have some built in immunity. For me this was a numbers game and I'm going with Moderna's most recently approved iteration.

The FDA just approved the booster for the new variant today. They are saying it should be available next week.

I was wishing I could get it before getting on a plane for the conference. At least I did get a flu shot and will bring masks. Will be wearing a COVID mask instead of a Halloween mask.

That is about 4 hours too late for me! I'm booster-ed and flu-ed out now. Maybe I can take the newest variant in a couple months? I'm going on a wing and prayer now!

I got a flu shot last week and had a sore arm for a few days. Waiting until October for the new COVID booster. Is the newest COVID booster available now?

I read it is going to be available the 1 week of October. But we leave October 1. So I'm just taking what I can get to boost my immunities!

I never had it either but don't think it is natural immunity. I have just been extremely careful about being around people. Almost everyone in my family and friends had it once or twice. I did debate getting a booster with my flu shot but my doctor told me to wait until October and get the newest one.

I too was on the no sleep train. My Mom called me at 10, I was asleep to tell me she was in the hospital and to ask if I could go feed her cats in the morning. It took me forever to get back to sleep and then I worried all night about how I was going to fit in the trip to feed the cats without missing too much work. Well she called me at 5 to tell me she was home. She has pneumonia and was having difficulty breathing and multiple other symptoms. The doctors blamed it on her stopping taking prozac, not on purpose she ran out and the mail order pharmacy couldn't ship another one until 9/11. I don't understand this, we all know the withdrawal symptoms from prozac can be awful, and you are supposed to taper off of it. My Mom didn't really know what she was taking, so wasn't aware of the withdrawal symptoms.

On Saturday night I cut my head open and bled all over the place. I was reaching for something on my night stand and over balanced and hit the edge of it. It still hurts, I have a lump and it doesn't look bad, but it sure bled, as all head wounds do. Now I need to clean the carpet, and my sheets. What an idiot.

One of my to do list items will be done. I now have a lawn service, they will come once a week plus do a big clean out. It's well worth the $175 a month, especially to deal with the leaves. They got away from me last year and I only got rid of the last ones last week. It will be a huge relief to get this done, I keep staring at it and wishing I could get it all done, but honestly it would take me 8 hours a day for quite a while to make a dent in it. The yard was overgrown when I bought the house, and I had given away all of my yard tools when I moved to Maui, so I started in a hole...

I spent too much time watching football this weekend. My Ducks won, but the Seahawks lost...boo! I'm not sure what is going on with the demise of the PAC-12 but we will see, personally I think it is stupid but it's all about money.

Hopefully this will be a better week, and I can get more work in.

Have a great day everyone!
