Eeekkk! A meet-up! I'm jealous!

I love Hearst Castle and your meetup will be fabulous. I know you will have a wonderful time with Shelia. All the technology comments make me laugh. I am 75 and most of my friends are clueless with technology.

I refuse to help them anymore. I got tired of lunch invitations where they said, "As long as you are here anyway, can you see what is wrong with this computer?" Then sometimes hours of trying to undo whatever changes they made themselves. I tell them I can't figure it out and they need the Geek Squad.

I ended up taping the buttons my dad wasn't allowed to press on the remote and he would still mess it up. My parents would have ended up divorced or one of 'em in the morgue if I didn't go.

Maybe it is not that funny, but I think it is hilarious that you taped those buttons. Years ago I was working as an iPhone technician. I remember telling an older customer to press the button on the bottom of the phone and she told her phone had no button on the bottom. I realized she was holding it upside down. After that I would tell them to hold the phone so that it had a belly button. Another call I remember was from someone whose microphone was not working. The phone was wrapped in cellophane and she had not removed it.

It looked something like this! And yes, it was very funny to me.

I am so jealous of your meet up. You guys are great huggers, and I can always use a good hug. Oh, I hear you on the remote struggles. My mom calls me at work to let me know. I am 20 miles away working. I do not know what she expects me to do. I am lucky DH is home most of the time and can go but he is not always happy about it.

Can't wait.

Not that close. Door to door is about 3 hours drive, but Amy is worth the drive.
