Good morning. Oh boy it's hot today!
I stayed on track all day yesterday. Made a fabulous lasagna with all veggie noodles and chicken Italian sausage and we have tons of left overs. I added up all the cheeses and oil and everything I could think of to come up with how many calories I ate. Since I missed lunch completely, I had plenty of calories available for two squares of chocolate last night.
Nothing amazing going on over here today. Workout is done. Mt. Helix summit and stairs/push ups/bench dips/squats times 6. Whew. We are leaving to go over to be with my Dad tomorrow morning, so I might pop out and pick up something fun to cook for him, but other than a bit of laundry, my day is clear. Lots of reading will happen.
QoTD: Completely believe we have a ghost. His name is Bill. He walks, stomps or runs on our roof. Late at night it sounds like there is someone talking through an old fashioned phonograph outside out upstairs window. He's harmless and been here since we moved in. I also can tell you some amazing stories about the first few years after my son passed away, which is very weird because if you know me well, you'll know I'm not a big believer in any sort of after life. But, whatever.
Menu today
B: left over beef sausage and veggies with some avo
L: left over innards of cheeseburger
D: hmmmm, Do I cook or do I get tacos? TBD.
Peace Everybody.

Good afternoon all and Happy Tuesday,
This week is chugging along. I'm still in recuperation mode. I'm really excited to see a high school friend on Thursday. We were extremely close despite never being in a relationship. I hope that the chemistry between us is still there and we continue to keep in touch.
QJB- A lobster roll sounds like the perfect way to celebrate capping the capstone. An acceptable version of a lobster roll is an easy $25+ here currently. What is the going rate at shacks and restaurants? I'll be thinking of your mom's surgery.
QOTD - I went to the Peabody Hotel in Memphis, where it was haunted on the 11th floor with the ghosts of a herd of duck-sized horses. At night, you could hear their tiny hooves galloping across the floor and their incessant neighing. Don't get me started on the 'duck-sized horse' 'hotel sex we heard'. They use 'neigh' instead of deity references.
B: scrambled eggs with salmon, asparagus, avocado, dill yogurt sauce.
L: rotisserie chicken, avocado, onion, cilantro, habanero salsa bowl or carb smart taco
D: Another dinner out. I'll pick a less horrible option at whatever restaurant we choose.

I went down a rathole earlier today reading about the pizza city fest (or the Fyre fest of Chicago as one headline read). Have you been keeping up with it? It sounds like something I would have tried to attend if I was there (and glad I wasn't!)

Yay! on the great day yesterday between thesis completion, the beach, and lobster roll. 6 hours before surgery is very early arrival. I could understand 6 hours between pre- intra-, and post-op time... Most places do have wifi available. My hospital does.
Work and the cooking class are all that is on the schedule for today. Getting caught up on paperwork since I was out of the office to travel for the class last week.
QOTD: I have never been in a haunted house that I am aware of. DD and I went on a haunted walk recently. the guide completely believes in haunted houses or other buildings. In fact, he and company "investigate" rumored haunted buildings and has a podcast. I suppose it could be possible that there are ghosts out there.
Accountability: very good and on track
meals the usual except for dinner will be from the cooking class. Some type of spongey Ethiopian bread and stew.
no exercise today.

I'm vicariously jealous of your cooking class. Have been low-key looking since wanting to take classes in New Orleans but there's not much around here available. I hope it's a wonderful class with tasty stew!
