Good morning, everybody!

I'm at the Doctor's getting my ears checked out this morning. Hopefully it's something that is easily treated.

I will check back in later with QOTD.

Mornin' All!

I have nothing on the agenda today except for dinner with a couple of friends at this new Ukrainian place. I might go biking this morning - and I'm also making bread today (a multigrain loaf, that includes spelt flour). I was approved for one of my classes (well, other than the Milwaukee one that I was approved for a week or two ago). This one at Madison is an in-person class on the civil rights movement. I had the professor once before for an online class during the pandemic lockdown. He was fantastic - so I'm really looking forward to this! I also applied for two history courses but haven't heard boo yet. Not sure if they're not accepting any more people or if they're just dragging their feet. I may end up not enrolling if I do get accepted - two classes (the Milwaukee one and the civil rights one) are fine - I really don't want to take three or four. I've done that before - it's too much.

QOTD: just the fake ones they have at Halloween (and that was when I was a kid - and maybe teen)

B: plain skyr with strawberries, thin piece of Danish grain bread with butter and jam, coffee with half & half

MS/L: protein shake - and maybe a salad

AS: I guess I'd better plan on something since this couple I'm having dinner with likes to eat late (reservation is for 7:00 - ugh). Maybe Ratio yogurt or black bean chips with hummus

D: borscht, either one of the chicken dishes or some dumplings

have a great day, everyone!

Good morning. You are the queen of productivity. Wow.

Qotd: there is at least one "spirit" in the office building of our company. I often hear him when everyone is gone for the day. I saw him only a few times. I'm not the only one who experience the presents of the ghost. He is neither friendly not unfriendly- he just is.

I know there is a "phantom " black cat in our house. We see him quite often.

I personally don't like visit "haunted houses" I had enough of that in my life.

Yesterday I attempted to have a low carb day. It started well ..but it was a major fail by the end of the day. Ugh.

Today would be a better day. I hope.

DH has attempted the carnivore diet several times lately. The first time he lasted 2 weeks, this weekend he bought a bunch of beef, made multiple servings of steak to take to work. Started his diet yesterday and promptly decided he didn't like the way the meat tasted heated in the microwave at work. He has now "learned his lesson" "it only takes 2-3 times" to realize he doesn't like an eating plan that is very specific. I feel bad for him because he has so many aches and pains from eating refined carbs but so far, he doesn't want to do a more sensible diet option (like change his eating habits to healthier options so that it is sustainable). Diets that eliminate foods or are very restrictive can be tough to hold onto. Just eating "healthier" can be a challenge also.

Wishing you good luck on your efforts.

Good Morning Queen JB and Menuers,

OK I did miss you guys but cannot say I am glad to be back. Vacation was exactly what I wanted it to be except for 2 falls. 1 minor while trying to get off the Tiki booze cruise and the second was at 6:30 am while taking a run I hit uneven sidewalk and went down. Scraped my hand up terribly and brush burned my arm. I found a nice lady in a little motel who was kind beyond kind. She let me wash my hands and got out a first aid kit and helped me bandage and clean my wounds. Anybody who thinks God did not put that kind woman in my path is crazy. I was very lucky she was the desk clerk that day. I basically was on the beach for the rest trip. There were 17 of us all together and in the evening we would go to one of the condos and have dinner and play games. Just nice to be away.

QOTD: No but I do believe in spirits. I feel my father's presents at times like he is watching over me in certain situations. So no ghost but guardian angels.

Accountability: Having a hard time getting back on track. I need to start running again.

TSS: 5 years 8-month 18-days 160.8 Lowest (129.4)

B: Coffee with SF Coffee mate chocolate Caramel

MS: Friendly Farms protein mixed berry Greek Yogurt, berries. and a peach

CB: Coffee with SF chocolate caramel

L: baby quiche, snack select zoodles with olive oil and garlic and sprinkle of parm

D: Stuffed zucchini and peaches

Exercise: Dog walking.

Water and Vitamins: On track. I take a Bariatric Advantage Ultra multi w/iron I use bariatric advantage Calcium chews and 500mg of Magnesium. I also use MiraLAX and fiber in my first coffee of the day.

Have a great day my friends.

Brightest Blessings,

Chrissy
