Mornin' All!

well of course my arms/shoulders are feeling better today, because I have my first PT appt today at 12:30. Although I should go anyway. It could be they've been particularly bad lately because of the humidity, and I don't think it's all that humid right now. Other than that, I've got a book to finish before my book discussion group on Monday, and a film to watch before one of my film discussion groups on Wednesday (although that can be watched as late as the night before - plus I remember details better if I watch it shortly before the meeting). Other than that...not much new.

QOTD: vegan for sure, since I'm already about 90% vegetarian. Although I eat a TON of yogurt and skyr, so even vegan would be tough (I don't eat much in the way of cheese or milk, so giving them up would be easy). I know they make non-dairy yogurts now, so maybe vegan would be do-able. Although there are eggs and milk solids in so many things that it would be a challenge for sure. But no way could I do paleo or single food.

B: Danish bread with butter and jam, Ratio yogurt, coffee with half & half

L: vanilla protein shake blended with 1/4 a small cantaloupe

AS: protein muffin or Ratio yogurt

D: salad, some kind of protein

I hope I can stick to it today (food-wise). I've been doing better the last couple of days, but still not great.

have a great day, everyone!

QJB these might be my favorite cookie sets you've ever made. They're gorgeous!!!

Sheila, don't you stop posting Belize pictures and stories! Now Belize is on my list of places to visit. It looks magical. You look insanely fit and beautiful!

Your qotd is too hard!!! I can't be vegan, I cannot. I can't be raw paleo nope. So single food it is. Maybe my food would be pizza like Jen since you can have lots of different toppings or even a salad on a pizza! Or maybe nachos because again the toppings are endless. Hmmm that would make me so sad. I'm choosing to boycott today's question, ya hob-knobbing fat-kidneyed hackeye lol

i have the bougiest of meals today. I sometimes buy the king crab or Dungeness crab at Costco and man is it a ***** to break down with a pair of kitchen shears and a skinny knife. I finally bought a crab and lobster cracker and tiny little pitchfork things and I broke down a few Dungeness crabs last night. Yum for me.
B: mashed avocado and CRAB

L: boars head ever roast chicken sandwich ieht havarti

D: probably more crab though I may pick up some smoked chicken since I have a zoom tonight and don't want to cook! ??

I love the cookie pictures. So professional looking. The meme is funny. The dinosaurs sound like Grim However, I do like a good hummus. I was happy to hear your day improved yesterday.

Plans for the weekend: Go to the ski hill, ride the chair to the top, pick huckleberries, ride down the chair, then back up and walk down the hill (thought that would be fun to do since all downhill). Outdoor yoga in the evening on Saturday. Sunday not much planned other than the usual pilates in the am. Monday evening, DD, me and one of her friends will head over to Seattle. I have the resiliency class on Wednesday but thought we would bum around on Tuesday. Maybe hit the Tacoma Zoo and other attractions. I have arranged for DD and friend to do a horse trail ride on Wednesday while I am in class plus go to a large park in Tacoma that has a lot of attractions (museum, kayak rentals, beaches, etc). We have to come back Wednesday evening since I have an eye appointment that I have rescheduled twice on Thursday. I am running out of my daily wear contacts.

QOTD: Paleo but it would be hard to give up my sf water enhancers, cold brew coffee with half n half

Accountability: on track

usual meals

E: yoga

Happy Friday everyone. That BBQ place sounds divine I love a good BBQ brisket and ribs. Hopefully you can see your friend and your sore throat is from allergies the ragweed is going crazy.

I just have to get through today and I took all of next week off to work on things around the homestead. The weather has been very weird this year and somethings have done great in the garden and others have just died. I think the extreme heat and then the monsoons we've been getting just stressed the plants out. Of course this morning was severe thunderstorms with heavy rain and a tornado warning in RI just over the CT boarder. I texted my daughter to make sure she was OK.

QOTD: RAW Paleo all the way. I need my bacon and cheese. LOL

B: squash and eggs with pork belly

L: armadillo egg

D: fish of some sort with zucchini

Have a wonderful day!!!

Well crap. I'm changing mine to just kill me because if there isn't a diet that I can eat bacon and cheese on I'd rather not exist. LOL I make my own cheese and bacon along with other stuff so I think I'm going to have to come up with my own homesteading diet.

Good Morning Queen JB and Menuers,

Sounds like your friend is very down to earth and a joy to be with. I have a few wealthy friends like that. It so nice to know that money doesn't go to everyone's head. Your cookies are beautiful as always. Thank you for sharing.

7 1/2 hours till vacation begins. Not looking forward to the drive but 7 days at a beach and hoping no one self-destructs without me here to take care of them sounds like a break I really need. I think Rudy will the one who will suffer the most cause hims loves his mumsy. Looks like a 7-hour drive and were leaving at 7:30AM. I would like to go earlier but I think we cannot get keys to the condo till after 4. No real plans to stop on the way down just a few bathroom breaks as needed. All that is left is packing up the car. I have definitely over packed. I figured my car I may as well stuff it full. I have a cooler for food and one for beverages so that will take up some room. I have a huge case of water too because if I plan on drinking, I'll need all the water I can get. Wish me luck on exercise. I am looking forward to a flat run that I cannot get in the rolling hills of Pennsylvania. I'll probably pop in a little next week. I guess I'll play it by ear.

QOTD: I would go Raw Paleo since I prefer my meat rare anyway.
