What's on your Thursday Menu?
Good morning everyone. I'm pretty sure the Queen is going to get some jackhammering in today. I'll post a picture for photo Friday.
QOTD: For most of my childhood we had a beagle named Tippy. This was back in the days when everyone's pets just roamed the neighborhood, as did all the children. Everyone knew which dogs and cats belonged to who. I miss all that.
We're always up early, and watch the tail end of overnight TV and the morning news. Ads are split pretty evenly between lawyers and pharmaceuticals. Most of the lawyer ads are offering to help you sue the drug companies for last year's new drugs. Anyway, I was tickled by this.

Oh man, that meme is the bee's knees.

Mornin' All!
free day today - yippee! I need to go to the library and scan and email a legal document to my sister and cousin to sign (part of our trust - I should have sent this out earlier, but...OK). I also need to watch at least one of the two films (on DVD) that I haven't gotten around to yet, because the discussion is tomorrow. And finish up my two classes. If the weather cooperates, I'll also go biking. If no****er aerobics. But I need to do something since I'm feeling like a blob. Too much eating this week.
QOTD: dogs, cats, gerbils, a rabbit, turtles, chicks (decades later, I feel bad about the rabbit and chicks. The rabbit spent much of his life in a cage. It was a big cage, but still - a cage. And people just shouldn't get baby chicks for kids (used to be common - not sure if it is anymore). They die very young - it's just sad. The turtles - there was that big scare back in the late 60s about pet turtles, so my dad let them go in some lake or pond. I'm sure they probably died soon after, too. I'm not sure why I still feel guilty about all this since you can't blame a kid, but I do still feel bad about it. The dogs and cats lived for a long time and were treated very well, so I've never felt bad about them.
B: danish bread with ligonberry jam, Greek yogurt, coffee with half & half
L: bagged salad, some kind of protein (maybe this tempeh snack that I saw online - marinated in a Japanese-style sauce and then air fried)
AS: protein muffin?
D: boy I have no idea. We have a lot of stuff in the freezer - I should probably microwave something out of there
have a great day, everyone!
My neighbor would buy her kids pets like gerbils, hamsters, rabbits, gold fish, etc. When the kids wouldn't take care of them, she would "release" them into nature. I didn't realize she did this until years later when my kids told me about it (my kids were friends with her kids). I would assume they died pretty quickly from either starvation or predators. You can't blame the kids.
