What's on your Saturday menu?

Good mornin everyone! Hope y'all are having a good start to your weekend.

Thank you for the support. I don't think we say it to people enough.

Not a lot planned for the day that I know of. We had a decent day yesterday, we did go out with my aunt and I had a salad. I way way misjudged that one lol. Made me just a little sick. The places my aunt and mom choose don't always have the best options.

I also aggravated my left hip getting in the back seat of my mom car.

QOTD: what is the best deal you've gotten lately?

my best would be getting some sleep shirts at Walmart for a dollar last week. They are too short for me to wear out of the house.

B: JUST egg bowl(3 tbs of just egg, 2 tbs of turkey sausage, 2 tbs cheese and 4 baby potatoes) coffee and maybe a yogurt

L: ????

D: ????

have a great weekend everyone!

Good morning Mel and weekend menuers,

That day sounds like a net improvement overall. Glad to hear it.

I'm out with the dogs this morning as they're way overdue for nails and I still don't have enough arms to deal with young dogs squirming shenanigans. There's a butcher shop and a seafood place I'd like to visit before heading home. I want to see what exists in the world for meat besides what walmart has. There's also a family butcher shop I found but they aren't open on weekends, which is wild to me. I like supporting local where at all possible.

QOTD- I got a good deal on clearance clothes at walmart since that's all I'm buying. $5 reebok sports bras. I was crazy and bought one in small. While it's a contortionist exercise to get it on, it does fit correctly. Go figure. Otherwise, I'd say the car seat covers that are coming. The one I use to protect from pup fur is giving up the ghost and I found covers for all the seats for $25. Hopefully I don't get what I pay for.

Today is out and about and house stuff. I've also discovered America's Test Kitchen, which is bad for time.

Accountability- Peanut butter.

Exercise - Baby weights

Menu - First breakfast was protein pudding. I'll eat some rosemary and thyme brined pork chop with eggs for second breakfast when I get home. Elevensies is an English muffin with turkey and cheese. Lunch is more pork chop. Dinner is andouille sausage and maybe a bit of rice. Add blueberries, seaweed, sliced red peppers.

Have an excellent Saturday, everyone!

I watch test kitchen and cooks country. They are good shows! I like milk street too. PBS is great!

When I was a bedside nurse I always thought it was funny how patients who were nothing by mouth would watch cooking shows. Talk about self-inflected abuse!

I don'****ch that many cooking shows. I do like Gordon Ramsey's show where he helps struggling restaurants but after awhile they seem all the same.

I feel like I live vicariously through cooking shows. All the stuff! I can't eat most of it, but it does inspire me.

I've gotten a lot of good tips from cooking shows. I'm always looking for new flavors and recipes that are healthy...or at least I can make healthier. I enjoy seeing what other cultures cook too.

I don't think I turned on the TV until day 4 in the hospital but I was that nothing by mouth person for the first two days. I had zero appetite, so I guess lucky me? It was much harder having no water.

My sister spent several days in the hospital last year and I hear she's the kind of patient that makes nurses cringe. She was nothing by mouth and demanded ice and food, not to mention pain meds more often than she could have them.

I think Cook's Country has been on a bit, too! This is on Pluto TV through my Roku. I like the science behind the food testing. Educational TV for the win! I used to watch How Stuff Works, too.

Happy Saturday

the punk rock musical Lizzie (Borden) was really fun last night. The cast was just 4 women with very little set. We initially sat in the front row but moved when we were warned thawed May be "blood" splatter if you say there. I didn't realize the real Lizzie was found not guilty of murdering her stepmother and father. Tonight is the murder mystery theater event. Apparently the audience actively investigates the murder. Should be fun. Got yoga this morning. No other plans.

QOTD: bought some shirts and dresses for around $10 each when normally $30+

same meals
