What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu?

Good morning ~ Happy Friday! Love that picture of you guys. Woke up in the middle of the night, no clue what time in deep RH - I was soaking wet and delirious. Crawled out to the kitchen - no sugar/fruit/juice anything in the house except stale iced oatmeal cookies so I sat the on the floor and ate them. Holy crap that was the worst one yet and I have no clue what caused it. Better now but so tired. Yesterday, I had a fabulous hair appointment and a nice evening. Today I have a short day followed by a pedicure. I might meet kiddo for tacos if he is available. Tonight we are having friends over for a BBQ. This weekend we are taking the dogs to the beach and celebrating kiddo b-day. He wants to go to an old school arcade which will be fun and then we are going to dinner at a local steakhouse.
QOTD - Where I live it's been about 80, where I work it's been about 85-90. My only real complaint is that we don't have AC and our house gets so warm that we can't turn on the oven or we will die.
Food:
B- coffee x 2 and, L&F yogurt
l - taco innards w/kiddo or tuna and celery at home
d - Tri tip and salad, ONE glass of wine
s- jerky

I hate that feeling, as much as the physical reaction sucks, the mental confusion freaks me out even more.
I keep a small jar of caramels in a ziplock in the pantry for rh. They get my blood sugar back up faster than anything else. I'm not tempted by them otherwise because they make me dump if my bs isn't already low.

RH is miserable. I hate that feeling of waking up sweaty and shaky. glad you're feeling better today.

Am I in the minority? When I get an RH episode I always reach for a Parmesan cube. I was told protein not sugar to counteract the RH. I always have these guys in the fridge and nibble on them when I'm on the green couch.

I think I AM the minority. I didn't know you could do anything about RH and I just suffer through it. Usually at home, but if you've heard my Nashville, TN story and the major mistake I made eating there, you'd feel great pity for me. It doesn't happen to me often, but I had no idea I could do something to back it off. I just sit in a corner and pray to die.
you poor thing.
I honestly wasn't told anything, because it was assumed I would stay away from sugar! But I discovered I can minimize or shorten the effects by counteracting it with protein.

I used to use peanut butter but it took forever. For me, OJ is the fastest rebound ever. It's almost instant.

Oh my gosh, that must be horrible. It's horrible waiting for it to rebalance when I'm doing active things, I would cry if there was nothing I could do. It doesn't happen often but it's so miserable.
