I always just eat a tablespoon of Peanut butter.

I was only told "not chocolate, it's too slow". I have done cheese in the past, peanut butter, but the caramels have the fastest result for me.

I have used cheese also. The glucose tablets do not go bad and I can keep them in a drawer. Also I would never be tempted to eat them for a snack.

I used to put a snack next to the bed like yogurt.

Good morning!

I'm up before Rog. That's a rare occurrence. But I slept more than 6 straight hours and that's even rarer. We had a very nice day yesterday. The only "exercising" I did was walk slowly through the mall buying clothes and my required PT exercises. Then an hour before bed I loaded up on the Tylenol. I'm thinking that the two things combined to give me some knee relief and that is why I was finally able to get a good night's sleep. We ate lunch out yesterday and it was a 500 calorie salad that I ate almost all of. More than my normal calorie count for lunch. With that and my other meals I was at 1100 calories and should have just stopped. But I found room for 130 calories worth of chocolate. And of course my weight is up even a bit more this morning. I hate that scale. She's a B#tch.

Today I am ready to go for a walk. Think I will finally make it to Harbor Island and walk the perimeter. A few miles and flat so my knee should not complain too much. Then I'd like to find a new pair of walking shoes and I need to start loading up on groceries and little girl treats. We have the grands from Sunday to Friday next week. It will be fun, busy, crazy, chaotic and they eat a surprising amount for such little people.

I'm going out in public. In a tank top. On purpose. This is big progress for me.

QoTD: We are cooling off a bit and have a coastal breeze which is wonderful. High 80's in the daytime, high 60's at night.

menu today:

B: pulled pork with cottage cheese to help it slide down

L: little piece of veggie lasagna. I made need more since it's a real small piece, so maybe fresh beets and tomatoes?

D: going to a friend's so no clue. But there will be some wine and they always cook protein forward because of me. It will be great. But I'd better try to burn an extra 300 calories or so with exercise today or we all know I'll be whining about the scale tomorrow.

Pic are from the Bryan Adams concert and a small selection from my farmer that we had for dinner the other night:
