What's on your Tuesday Menu?

We have lots of tarantulas here. During the fall you have to be careful driving on country roads, well we are anyway, because they cross them frequently. They do serve a purpose here. Trust me...I am not going to handle one but I hate to kill them. I'd rather kill scorpions or centipedes. Ahhh Texas...the bugs and some people will drive you away. lol

Good luck on the good will endeavors!

Mornin' All!

another day with nothing on my schedule (like most of this week, fortunately), so I'm again going to try to get caught up on classes. I went to Aqua Zumba yesterday (I'm trying to ease back into exercise because I ached from head to toe after my trip - probably all the walking (always over 20K steps a day - and over 30K on a few days) and lugging my backpack around a couple of days (like at the airport - my laptop was in there, among other things). So I'll do something else today that's not going to aggravate things - maybe the elliptical? I have to think about this. Hopefully by the end of the week I can get back to a more normal exercise routine.

QOTD: I've only been stung twice that I can remember - once when I was around five years old, and the other time about 15 years ago.

B: plain skyr with lingonberry jam, a small piece of seed & grain bread (I'm trying to find something that resembles Danish rye bread, but no luck. This current bread I have is good, but it's nothing like Danish rye (known in Denmark as "rugbrod" - which of course means "rye bread"). I may end up having to make my own Danish rye. It's full of grains and seeds, so it's very filling - and it allowed me to give up Miralax for a few days. Win-win),

MS: probably nothing since that bread will likely stay with me until lunch - but if not, a protein shake

L: I'm thinking chocolate "mousse" with raspberries

AS: six black bean chips dipped in hummus

D: black bean dal

have a great day, everyone!

Well with all the walking on your trip did your weight stay in check? I am heading to the beach next month and dread seeing the scale when I get back. It will be a lot of alcohol consumption.

I am obsessive enough to carry a scale to the beach with me. Sometimes I would purchase a cheap scale to use on my vacation and just leave it in the condo when I went home.

I decided to wait a few days after getting back to weigh myself because I was so afraid of my weight being up, but then, I worry about that every time I go on a big trip (because I eat a lot more than usual), but I walk so much that I end up not putting on any weight. Weighing myself tomorrow - so we'll see. But it'll probably be the same as usual - no gain, or maybe a lb at most.

Did you bring back the lingonberry jam from Sweden? I had some at the Icehotel there years ago and remember it fondly.

Good Morning Queen JB and Menuers,

Why when I read your post my head hears, Chagga Chagga Chagga Chagga? I swear you are the little engine that could. Glad things are going your way.

I 've already eaten 1/2 of a Milk chocolate bar this morning. I would have eaten the other half too, but I ate it yesterday. I guess an extra 150 calories won't hurt but my heart is hurting so much it was where I turned this morning. I arrived to work and was greeted by 3 missed calls and an urgent "call as soon as you get this message." Thinking I missed shipped or something like that but no, a fellow I worked with for the past 20 years passed away of a heart attack at dinner last evening. He is my age. What is going on this is crazy. People in my life are dropping like flies. I am having a hard time wrapping my head around this. I talked to him yesterday. Oh my, I just went and talked to work husband said he no longer wants to be my friend. Understandable.

QOTD: Last summer I was walking in the grass with no shoes and it got my toe. Nothing compared to me as a teen I sat on a nest of some kind of ground wasp and got stung over 50 times. I no longer sit in the grass.

Accountability: Sarris Milk chocolate Candy bar.

Acountability: could have been a lot worse.

TSS: 5 years 7 month 7 days 160.8 Lowest (129.4)

B: Coffee with SF Coffee mate Twix creamer

MS: Oikos Tripe Zero Salted Carmel Greek yogurt and berries

CB: Coffee with SF Twix creamer

L: RGF stuffed chicken breast and snack slelect

D: chicken thigh and green beans

Exercise: Dog walking 3.1 mile run (done)

Water and Vitamins: On track. I take a Bariatric Advantage Ultra multi w/iron I use bariatric advantage Calcium chews and 500mg of Magnesium. I also use MiraLAX and fiber in my first coffee of the day.

Have a great day my friends.

Brightest Blessings,

Chrissy
