No wonder you and I get along. Our facial expressions at the concert will be hilarious.

What is up with the hail out there? The Boston morning News had footage of all the hail at the Rockies ballpark. It's just nuts.

Hail is pretty common here in the spring, every few years we get a huge roof and car destroying burst but this year has been excessive; we've had roof and car destroying hail at least weekly since May. Climate change deniers can kiss my butt because we are deep in it around here.

Are metal roofs a thing out there? They are becoming more popular here. I'm sure it would dent, but not be destroyed like asphalt.

What does the hail do to solar panels?

Not really although I am hearing a bit more about them this year, lol. My solar panels came through much better than my roofing; when I had them installed a paid for hail proofing, which I was skeptical would do any good here but so far, so good. With my new roof going on next, I did choose to upgrade one level of hardness for the tiles, see if that helps (my house is only 4 years old and had builder grade which is not always the best. On the other hand, they did builder grade concrete siding on some of the houses, including mine, and we're not having to replace any siding). The hail combined with Colorado winds, destroys not only the roof but frequently the windows, the siding, etc sometimes.

Holy crap. I'd be fascinated to know how they hail-proof solar panels. Do they use the plastic that Fisher Price uses for toys? That stuff is indestructable.

It's actual a thin mesh overlay that is slightly above the panels. It doesn't touch them or block the sun. I don't know what it is but it works so far!
