What's on your Tuesday Menu?
Good morning everybody!
Well, what came out of the meeting Friday was basically to wait and see. Individuals who will be receiving early retirement will hear sometime during the month of July. So, thus, I am on the train heading to work. If I do end up retiring this year I will regret the commuting time and cost.
We leave for Europe on Thursday evening. In the next three days I have to go into the office twice, pack, and make it to 3 CrossFit classes and lift once. I actually think that getting to the gym tonight will be the biggest challenge.
Our friends who did the Prague pre-trip are just arriving now. We will meet them in Germany on Friday.
QOTD: I have had two Infinitis and loved both. But they discontinued my model and I don't see anything else that catches my eye.

Have a Great Day, all!

Love the meme. DH teases me that I have t-rex arms. I don't think they are short since all of me is shortish.
QJB-wow! you did accomplish alot yesterday. Very impressive. Either your day was really long, or you were very efficient. 2am to be on the road sounds brutal.
In the office today. A couple of meetings and the usual paperwork. I will get in a workout at the end of the day plus a little more packing to be ready for the trip to Montana tomorrow.
QOTD: We have been brand loyal to Ford products over the years. We have had a Thunderbird, Aerostar van, Expedition, Aspire, several F250 super duty's, several F150 trucks, Taurus. It is funny though, every time we buy one, we say it will be the last one. However, the Ford F150 does have the most comfortable seats and more leg room in the back compared to other trucks. Unfortunately, the current one we have (2019) seems to have a lot of transmission shifting issues. We are very happy we purchased the extended warranty since it has been in the shop numerous times. Going in again tomorrow. The last 2 cars we purchased have been Hyundai (Accent for DS and Santa Fe for me). I went with these options due to the 10-year warranty and pricing. I really like my Santa Fe and would get another.

Good morning! Back from a hard walk, showered and ready to enjoy the day. Heading into Sanaa Barbara city and planning of finding me some chili oil carried cauliflower I remember from a previous visit. We'll walk the pier and do a little window shopping. Yesterday was out to get a few necessities and then pool time, nap time, bbq-ing and sitting around the fire pit. Nice day.
QoTD. I am not. But Rog got a Lincoln a few years ago and insisted that the vehicle I was driving was not a good tow car. So now I have a Lincoln as well. His is big, mine is little. I wouldn't have picked it, but it?s a nice car and I love the hybrid mileage.
Bites?
B. Egg and fajita innards
L. Before mentioned cauliflower and a protein
D. Premade bbq ribs, a bit of mashed potatoes, salad

Good afternoon everyone,
I've been in the hospital for the 4 days. Apparently I'm having adverse reactions to the morphine. It presented as severe chest pains so I had to do alllll the tests. Then the nausea...I haven't been able to keep food down for those 4 days. I can't catch a freakin break. I'm waiting to hear back from the pain clinic on when we can turn it off then schedule an explant.
so that's why I've been silent.
QOTD: not really

Soooo sorry to hear that Mel. Did everything check out okay with your heart? How come that can't keep the pump there but unfilled?
Hang in there. I hope you get to go home soon.
on 6/20/23 10:40 am
Oh no, that's terrible! I'm glad you're getting care and working through it. Not a fun way to spend your time. Hopefully it's improving if they got the morphine out and you're able to eat and drink. I'm so sorry. Are you home, then, or waiting there for the removal?
