What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu?
Good morning and Happy birthday weekend, John! The market is up, the news is promising, the weather is great. Seems like good omens to a new trip around the sun.
Yesterday was mostly travel and cleaning. I made all the meals and stayed the course for most of the day. I did add three crackers, bacon jam and Brie as an afternoon snack. All zero calorie beverages for the day.
Today we travel again and enter California. The next two weeks will be the most expensive of the trip and the hardest for managing food. All the RV parks are two or three times more expensive in CA and we have fun restaurants, wineries and visits with amazing people to cram into these last two and a half weeks. I'm going to need to get out and move more. Need to get my knee checked when I get home, but it doesn't bother me walking so I will keep that up and try to concentrate on upper body strength.
QoTD. I found this site laying in my bed the day after surgery while wondering WTH I just did to myself. Then I lurked for about six months learning stuff. Once I jumped in, I've tried to make it a morning ritual as it really does get my brain prepped and planned for food for the day.
photos...such a nice week behind me.

and a couple of shots of our campground in Eugene Oregon. I laughed at this picnic table. Apparently, if you register for two, you get half a picnic table. Don't even think of having guests!

When the Panthers pulled their goalie with three minutes left, I was thinking the Series is over. But a great comeback for them. I can't remember whether hockey is 2-3-2, or 2-2-1-1-1.

Hi All-
a late post for me. Got up pretty early knowing I had some house cleaning to do before guests arrived for DS hs graduation plus I wanted to make sure I got a workout in before even arrived. I accomplished both of those things. Plus a trip to Costco, making a cake, dip for snacking For Torrowing and deboning 2 rotisserie chickens. Does anyone else use the carcass to make bone broth? I generally use the broth to add to the dogs evening dog food for some variety. We went out to dinner this evening and I was able to make some good hooves.
QOTD: no lurking just dived right in. It has been about 2 years now. I had a short period when I didn't read or post but quickly got back to the site. Love the support we receive here.
Accountability: excellent

I always use the carcass. In fact, last year at Thanksgiving I put out a post on FB asking friends and neighbors in the area if they had a turkey carcass they weren't going to use - because if so, I'd take it off their hands! I only got a couple but that's fine - I made enough stock to freeze and have around for a few months.
