QJB-Yay for completing your to do list successfully. Boo for the sore swollen knee. I hope it starts to get better soon and you don't need the MRI.

Not much to report here. Just another day of work with only one meeting. The meeting has to do with taking on more responsibilities. A co-worker, a Stroke Coordinator, has taken a new position. Due to budget crisis in the wake of the COVID epidemic (yes-health care is still floundering financially from the crisis) the organization has put a freeze on hiring or replacing people who have left their position (exception is the frontline bedside essential personal as there is already a shortage of nurses at the bedside). Therefore, this person's work responsibilities need to be delegated to others. Today, I will find out what expectations will be thrust onto my workload.

QOTD: Before high school I wanted to be a businesswoman with a briefcase and all that jazz due to the popularity of movies like 9-5 or the one with Melanie Griffith (Working Woman?) at that time. When I left high school I thought I wanted to work in psychology. Loved the subject but didn't end up completing the degree but had enough credits for a minor. I eventually found nursing, obtained my BSN and RN license. I still work in the field of nursing just not at the bedside. That is what I love about nursing, there are so many different types of positions from in-patient bedside hospital, office, research, teaching, school nursing, administration, etc. The list goes on and on.

Accountability: Nailed it yesterday!

Same meals as yesterday.

I hope your workload doesn't increase significantly. When I was in the hospital, I could tell they were very short on staffing for two and a half days. I tried very hard not to call them for anything because it was one person trying to manage everything. I somehow picked up a talent for occluding my IV by existing, so that certainly didn't help.

I will say that when making small talk, those poor nurses shared some stories (with my encouragement) and I have so much sympathy for what they have to put up with. Staffing shortages are becoming critical in some areas.

QOTD- No I ended up doing this because of my military experience. Now I just want to retire.

I'm not good at passwords. First my Twitter account was hacked and now my cell phone account was hacked, they changed the email got a new Sim card and activated it so my cell phone is not working. My roommate is in Salt Lake City, and his phone isn't working very well, the cell side is iffy but he can make WiFi calls. I don't have a landline, but I do have a Magic Jack. But my little kitties chewed through the cord and I was unable to splice it back together, so I moved the phone and plugged it into the jack and I at least have a phone. Over an hour on the phone to the cell company, over another hour to Life Lock. I may get my cell phone back today, and I ordered another phone cord.

Work was also crap, I had 3 jobs in one area that depended on each other, and the planner wanted to change the size of the cable. And one of the 3 was on hold, I needed this one to feed the next one so I need to know if it will move forward. Just a bad day all around.

I did make it to the nature park but only managed 1.33 miles and very slowly, but at least it was something.

The way I found out my phone wasn't working is I tried to call my Mom to wish her Happy Birthday and was told my phone isn't registered on a network.

Hopefully things will be better today.

Have a great day everyone!

Hope you get it all resolved today. If you think the issue is you aren't coming up with passwords that you can remember but are also complex, can you use password keeper or something like that? Or a password protected spreadsheet with all the other passwords? Then you only have to remember one.
