QJB-I find that when I go visiting, I end up going home tired not rested since I end up with many late nights. hopefully, despite a busy week ahead you can still get some needed sleep.

My long weekend was pretty uneventful. We did make it to the movie on Saturday (About My Father) which was cute and funny. I enjoyed the movie going experience but not sure if anyone can't wait for it to come out on streaming services to watch. DS got his wisdom teeth extracted on Friday (4 that had to be cut and chiseled out). He was a bit of a drama king after since one site continued to ooze blood all night, he was hungry, and he tends to blow things out of proportion. We eventually gave him a little Ativan to calm him down, which worked wonders since he was really worked up about it. His face is still slightly swollen (which he continues to go on and on about) but pain wise he is good. He thinks everyone is staring at his swollen face (which at this point is not really that bad. Yes, it looks a little fuller but not at all deformed or noteworthy). On the other hand, DD was bitten by a mosquito under her right eye yesterday during a hike, which really swelled up and is red. This morning her eye was swollen shut despite using antihistamines, honey to the site, and hydrocortisone. This people would stare at! On the mom front, she went to rehab last week and seems to be doing really well there. So that is a positive.

QOTD: If I have a lot to do I write it down. I can be forgetful at times. Seems worse after I had kids and as I have gotten older. I have sent myself texts with a list. Mostly, I write it down. I also use my phone calendar for any appointments or fun activities I have pre-arranged. At work, it is an Outlook calendar.

Accountability: Well, I have been letting myself expand my one day of free eating into the weekend. Not good as I don't want to have weight regain. On the positive side, the last 2 days I have limited the free eating to just an evening snack. On the negative side, I have let myself have extra evening snacks (PB and chocolate drizzled popcorn with PB M&Ms mixed in). I am committing myself to no eating off plan until we celebrate DS graduation on June 10th!

Your RNY was in March 2021.. So you are just over 2 years post op. The very dangerous time to start regaining. Limiting the "free eating" may be critical.

I know that when I'm maintaining, it takes a while for my body to start gaining weight once I introduce "free style". Or extra foods. But once I started gaining - I had a very hard time to stop that. Even if when I lower my food intake.

Year 3 is hard .. be diligent about that...

I never cheated and was very diligent with exercise. It happened to me between year 4 and 5. I didn't change anything it just happened.

Aww, your poor kids! I feel lucky that the swelling was pretty limited. They gave me some kind of ice pack device that strapped to my head and cheeks that I diligently used in the hotel room but forgot when I left. That really helped to keep the swelling at bay but not the bleeding. Mine did the same as your son's but the discharge directions said it could take 24 hours or more to stop and just keep changing and packing dressings. They didn't seem very concerned so I tried not to be. But then, I don't care if people stare at me (walked around the hotel lobby with packing sticking out of my face like walrus tusks when I got back). Hopefully both kids are well on the mend now!

DS has been very diligent on the icing. He has bruising on his face and in his mouth from the procedure.
Slowly getting better but he fixates.

Good morning all and Happy Monday,

Holiday weekend was great. I organized a club BBQ Sunday and had about 50 ppl show up. I hit a street festival after that. Also, I grilled at my mom's and went al fresco dining Saturday night.

Anywho, it's back for another day at the salt mines. I had a really tough week last week physically and mentally. It's a new day today though. Onward and upward.

QOTD- My to do lists have to do lists. I used to keep a list in my pocket. I finally came around to using my phone's notepad.

Accountability - donuts, lasagna

Dealing with hacker hell, someone hacked my cell phone account activated a new sim card and stole my number. No real issues other than I have no phone. It is suspended, I wanted to call my number and tell them F*ck you for stealing my account. I need it for my job and to log into the VPN. So I am not happy!

I'm still not sure what was hacked, my roommate thinks it is everything. But Lifelock says no...

I had a ****ty day at work, so this just add insult to a bad day. I was trying to wish my Mom a happy Birthday but was notified that I had no network. I'm still not sure if it was my phone or PC that was hacked...So now the only phone I have is Magic Jack and my darling kittens chewed through the cable, so I have to replace it in order to have my fax work again. I had to move the phone so that I could plug it in.

I wasn't going to have any wine today, but everything went to **** so I'm on my second glass. Still waiting for Lifelock...

Sorry have a great day everyone, I tried to respond earlier but this was the best I could do.

Man, hope things get better for you from here. I just don't get the criminal mindset sometimes. Hacking your cell phone? Geez. Hope it's resolved sooner rather than later and that you're able to work. Tomorrow will be a better day!
