The last of the human freedoms, to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances. (Frankl, 1946)
When I retired, I felt I no longer needed a to-do list or to mark things on a calendar. That worked for a few years, then I missed an important appointment and was embarrassed. I realized that totally depending on my memory was not working that well and I usually accomplished nothing. I made my own to-do list system in MS Word. I update it every day with date, times, and task or appointment. For me it is easier than trying to remember and it helps me to be sure I get everything done.
For me the trick is to only have things in one place. As soon as I start updating two or more lists or calendars I end up missing things.
Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
Good morning everybody!
Remember when I thought it odd that I did not have any bruising from my airborne collision with the bunk bed? Well no fear, because I have spectacular bruising now.
I really want to post pictures on photo Friday, but won't. At this point, I have two separate bruises. About 7 inches by 5 inches of lavender and yellow on my hamstring and about 5 x 4 of dark purple on my upper butt.
Interestingly, there is a stripe of no bruising where the contact was made. The egg is much smaller, though. Joking aside, I am thankful it hit my butt and not my tailbone or hip because it would have broke something.
Sheila is going to be devastated, but with a months relegation to phone posting, I simply won't be able to provide a song by song analysis of Dead & Company. Something to look forward to.
I got Murph in last night. I think that I measured the running wrong because the miles took 34 minutes. I did the movements in 50 rounds of 2 pull-ups, 4 pushups and 6 squats. No vest.

Good morning, all! I'm off of a wonderful weekend - made wonderful by QJB and Grim! Our 4 hour lunch went by way too quickly. Then I made the horrible choice to go to COSTCO. On a holiday weekend! The crowd was a nightmare. Pro tip: if you're in a packed store with a 3 foot wide cart, don't just stop mid step to read text messages. I swear, people lack common sense!
QOTD: I use the notes app on my phone for various lists. What I need at the grocery, books I want to download when I have time, etc. At work I'm horrified to report that I use a running Google doc. I know I should use One Note or something but...
B: andouille chicken sausage
L: ever roast chicken and Mayo and havarti cheese on one piece of bread
D: an impossible burger that I had DH smoke on the grill - yummy. With ketchup and Dijon mustard and spicy pickles. No bun. Maybe a side but we will see how hungry I am.
Have a wonderful day all!
How about when they stop by the sample station but they leave their cart in the middle of the aisle? Or park it in a way you can't go by while they are sampling their sample? That's when I get road rage.
