Mornin' All!
One of my cats has a vet appt at 10:20, then I have Mah Jongg at noon (we're playing in person now) and a doctor's appt at 1:30. Other than that, I'll just be reading (taking a break at some point to exercise). I borrowed a book from the presentation I arranged last week (on music of the Vietnam era - the presenter co-authored it) and I want to get it back to him by the end of the week, and my book discussion group meets next Monday, so I have to finish the book for that as well. I have a few plans for the next few days and I have friends (a couple) who'll be in town this weekend whom I haven't seen in almost 40 years, so I really need to focus on getting through these books by Friday. So...that's my week!
QOTD: I have to write things down - I don't trust my memory these days. I have a big appt book (8.5" x 11" - if not bigger) and I usually jot things down in there.
B: protein shake (may throw some strawberries in there that I froze yesterday), coffee with half & half
late MS/early L: protein muffin
AS: bagged salad and some kind of protein - or else yogurt with tahini
D: I'm making a curry tomato/chicken dish (one of Christopher Kimball's recipes), so that
have a great day, everyone!!
Good morning. Ugh for ot enough sleep. I hope you can catch up on that.
Qotd: I have my outlook calendar reminders plus in my head...
Last few days had been interesting. I have to redo my method of keeping constipation at bay. Unfortunately what I'm doing is not working well enough. Ugh. I have acupuncture today and I ask her to work on that. When I get constipated, I hurt all the time. I was so badly affected that I even had a glass of wine. After promising myself no alcohol ever.
But... unfortunately it worked, at least some. Ugh. That's how my previous problem with alcohol started- it helped with gut pain. Anyway...I probably need to get antibiotics to treat my SIBO again. Ugh.
Besides that - we went to see a movie "Fast X" - it was the worst movie I think I ever saw in theater. At home - I could ignore it, but ...we were at IMax, and Keith wasted over $44 on it. I was ready to walk out in a middle of it. Even car scenes were horrible. The dialogs - actors were bad. Very bad. Some attempts at humor- even worse. Ugh. I can't unseen it. Wasn't bad enough to be good. Ugh.. And there would be a sequel... the movie ended in a really bad cliffhanger. But...I'AM NO GOING TO watch the sequel. It was that bad. Enough ranting.
This week is a short week for me. I've got an herbal conference next weekend- Friday- Sunday, so I plan to skip work on Friday. I may go for a 1/2 day. If I have to.
Today menu:
Lots of liquids with Miralax and minerals,
Lunch: maybe... some proteins...and pickles
D: if I feel ok, Caesar salad with some proteins.
Activities: I hope many bathroom trips. Lol.

Good morning all. It was a great long weekend, and wonderful to see DCGirl again. She's good people.
Back on the wagon today -- too much celebration eating over the weekend. Time to open a new ham -- this one is a new brand. I'm excited for the diversity.
QOTD: Any lists are in my head. I'm really not much of a list person.

Do you do a bone in ham? I like "real" ham not that pressed type. I also make a killer split pea with ham soup using the bone. My FIL always asked for it after we had ham for Christmas dinner. So easy to make and delicious.

The spiral cut is still real, but deli ham is less ham-like. I generally don't do bone-in, as the extra nuisance isn't Wirth it. I've never done anything with the bone. I'm just not a soup person, at all. Now that I don't have dogs, I've nothing to do with the bones. Though I suspect I have one cat who would like to explore a ham bone.

Good morning ~ Happy to hear you had a wonderful time in DC with DCgirl! I did so little this weekend is was wonderful. I did really well with food all weekend. I've found that if I wait to eat breakfast until late morning it's much easier to keep the head hunger under control. Work days are fine - I'm too busy to think about food. Today is training new person and meetings. I'm looking forward to being on the other side of training, it will take months but will be a huge relief. Gym for workout/hydro massage after work. Looking forward to that immensely.
QOTD - I word doc journal daily so my lists tend to go there, but my iphone notes and reminders for all the things too. I use handwritten lists for work.
Accountability - great
b -coffee, protein bar
l - tuna
d - turkey taco meat
e - weights and stair climber
645 cals 80g protein
Have a great day!
