Good morning everyone and happy Saturday! I called at hard stop at work at 3 yesterday and then sat out on the deck....and then the storms started. I wish everyone could see the clouds during a crazy colorado spring storm, nature is incredible. I cringed a bit when the hail started but it was small and short lived. Although I saw a lot of circular movement, no tornado warning was triggered so it was just a nice storm and a very relaxing evening. I went to bed at 9 and slept until 6:30 so clearly I needed some sleep, lol.

Today is just some house stuff, a few errands and then meeting some friends for a matinee and then dinner. Two of the people had to drop out, they forgot they had told their grandkids they could have a multi night sleep over. I appreciate their priorities. The four of us that will be there are the ones that are planning a joint vacay for next year so we can do some planning. we had picked some dates based on one of the people's project schedule but he just changed jobs so maybe we can go earlier. We'll see.

I'm very excited, I have a knot in my shoulder, I think from my 4 hours in the middle seat but I was able to get a one hour massage scheduled for tomorrow morning; apparently the first appt on a sunday/3 day week isn't in high demand. It's just a "normal" massage not deep tissue but will help I am sure and it's better than nothing!

menu today

coffee plus half and half X2

yogurt or skyr

I'll take a built bar to the theater for a snack

dinner will be bites of all the things (latin dim sum), I'm looking forward the most to the cheese arepa, the ropa vieja, and the pao de quiejo. I could eat my weight in those little tapioca breads.

Have a fantastic Saturday everyone!

Forgot the QOTD - I don't know that I think anyone is over-rated but there are certainly musicians that are not for me. I do think that there are plenty of musicians that maybe should consider stopping touring because they've lost their love/skill for live performing.

There was an incredible lightening display and tornado warnings one night when I was in Denver earlier this month. So different from a spring storm in Ohio.

Was it the 9th or 10th? That was when everyone had the hail damage!

It was the 9th. We were in a La Quinta at the airport and I don't think it even rained there but the display in the sky was spectacular as we drove back from downtown Denver to our hotel.

I was at a concert at red rocks that night and we enjoyed the light show. The 10th was a mid afternoon storm and I enjoyed it a lot less, lol

On the 10th we were in Glenwood Springs and the weather was beautiful there. On the news that night we saw hail that they were shoveling out like snow. We were both glad we took a lot of warm clothes on that trip.
