True, there were other reasons for the revision and I don't regret it at all, very thankful. My ass is in gear!!! My sister is the one who inspired me to get RNY to begin with so it's sad really. She doesn't know anyone else besides me that had the surgery and is so far gone from WLS tool mentality that she is of the normie mindset at this point. I am happy with my choices of takin gcare of me and not too worried about what she thinks. I do wish she were more supportive and understanding.

Thank YOU for being so supportive!!

The truth is that it takes about a year to get over surgery. They don't tell you that and make you think it takes a few weeks. In about a year, you will realize one day that your energy and body is back to a normal state. If you are tired, that means your body needs the rest. Let it work on it own time.

If "doing the work" worked, there would be no need for anyone to have weight loss surgery. I know I needed the change in my body to be successful. Doing the work always worked until it stopped working and I would always gain the weight back. Seeing your success might be hard for your sister but also might get her to the point of also getting her own revision someday.

A year makes total sense to me. Looking forward to when I have energy and feel great again but in the meantime, I'm listening to my body.

I've been thinking about your post all day. I just wanted to say you're an inspiration to a lot of people. Keep your head held high! You have all of us pulling for you!

Hugs.

6 weeks out and 700 cal is relatively a lot. I remember after my original surgery they were concerned about proteins and liquids. The calories- they actually told not to count them for at least a year. Stick to getting proteins and up to 4oz portion, and limit fat, almost no carbs. First 6 months I would get 400-600 cal per day. (Estimated based on what and how much I could eat).

The up to 4 oz solid, dense food was just that, up to 4 oz. Less if you got restriction - felt full before thar.

Even now, 15 yea4s post op, i can eat 6 oz or 3 ..depending on the day. When my pouch is sensitive- a few bites it's often enough. And frustrating. Because when I'm hungry, I want to enjoy my food. And there - a few bites and my pouch gets full.

Good morning! Yesterday was an excellent day. Lots of driving, but we got in everything on the list and enjoyed a lovely prime rib dinner. Well, Rog enjoyed the prime rib. I had two bites and ate some of my bacon wrapped shrimp. But yum. I spent the day feeling like I was at a Disneyland experience. I may be a dweeb but I spent the day in awe. So many fun photos. And yes, I did the stairs. It still wasn't as close up as I wanted, and the view became more like looking up nostrils, but I enjoyed the hell out of it and survived. The stairs are not nearly as steep as "my" stairs, but a good workout all around.

Today is just a travel day as we move towards Montana. I am feel the trip coming to an end now and am not sure if I am excited or sad.

QoTD: So. Many. Things. I watch the Grammy's now and mostly wonder WTH and am I an old person now?

I am laughing at "looking up the nostrils"....not many people have had that experience!

Wyoming is an interesting drive, there are incredibly beautiful elements in it's isolated barrenness.

I'm that way with music, too - I've never heard of 90% of these people. And celebrities. I used to occasionally pick up a People magazine at the gym if there was nothing interesting to read. I've never heard of most of the celebrities in there. I suppose it might help if I watched TV, but I don't...

I don'****ch TV either and would not know who Taylor Swift was if I walked into her. I do love Dylan and Reba.
