There are places in mass that are crowded with those options. But nothing close by.

Any farm type store or co-op will have them. Tractor supply, Runnings, Ace Hardware, etc. They all sell seed potatoes.

And you can grow them in 5 gallon buckets I've done that before.

I hadn't thought of Tractor Supply. There's one two towns over. But none of the local home centers and such have potatoes. 3,000 varieties of tomato, but not potatoes.

When I was growing up, my father started the potato planting on St. Patrick's Day. He soaked the potatoes overnight in a laundry tub and then cut off all the eyes and planted them in the garden. We had a small yard, but he used the back of it for his garden. Lettuces, tomatoes, rhubarb, radishes, potatoes, corn, brussels sprouts, peas, green beans, carrots, onions, garlic, and peppers only came from the garden in the summer. I was surprised that my friend's mother bought peppers at the store and they had stuffed peppers in the winter.

You know, it's terrifying the things we're exposed to and are ignorant of. I do remember eyes on potatoes as a kid. The ones I buy do grow eyes, though. Maybe I'm doing it wrong.

Did you try the garden supply store or garden center for the potatoes? Even farming/ranching supply stores should have potato starters.

Good morning everybody!

quick post today, I'm fairly busy at work today before we leave tomorrow. Both of us napped last night and then had trouble getting out of bed this morning. I think it's partially because it is so cold in our house.

Hopefully we get some beach and sunshine this weekend, it's showing a 10-30 percent chance of rain most days.

QOTD: I guess get in my car drive west and try and make the mountains.

Breakfast: frittata

lunch: steak

dinner: fish tacos

Have a great day everyone and see you next week.
