Not quite a bunker, but my mom has a farm 8 minutes from me and she is a mile in the woods. If we take out the bridge there is no way to get in or out without swimming across the river. It would give me plenty of time to take out who or what was trying to get to us.

Funny thing Saturday my mom and I went to the cemetery to plant flowers at my aunt and grandparents graves. I start pulling my tools out of the car and informed her should the dead come to life I have enough "weapons" with me for us to get away. She laughed. I then held up my shovel and asked her were the jewelry was as we didn't have much time and it takes a little bit to dig 6 ft by hand. She said I should have been a comedian. LOL

You do sound like a riot! I'm for sure far enough out in the woods but there's no bridge over the creek. Maybe a bunker is in the cards. Or at least a storm shelter, all things considered.

Good morning QJB and menuers,

The improvements sound wonderful. So glad to hear it, and low-key envious of your hammock time.

QOTD- Funny, I felt this meme. I had a heck of am adjustment period moving into this house. It takes months getting used to all the normal noises, and my house is straight up haunted and comes with more than the normal stuff. I don't meet rule number 1 when the zombie apocalypse comes, so I'd expect to go early unless I make it to a car.

GI doctor was great. I had to get more blood drawn. She wants to check for markers specific to GI problems. She also does not think I have Crohns or UC, or that I even need a colonoscopy. Apparently that's a whole other set of symptoms that I don't have, so that's a win in my book because those are serious diseases. Anyway. She wants me back on Miralax and thinks that too many of the pills I've been taking cause constipation. I have steps to take, woo!

Also got my braces adjusted. Who knew how much darned science goes into some wires and brackets? Wow. Takes a lot longer when you ask questions.

Today...probably go to the store for more walking. My lungs are starting to let go of the gunk and I'm super tired but good.

Accountability- After the GI appointment I went to a Mexican restaurant. If anything will get my guts moving, it's Mexican. I had papas con chile and they were divine. Also some rice and a bit of tomatillo salsa. Comparatively, I ate everything yesterday, so I'm kinds excited.

Menu - maybe try eggs today. I have some dumplings and have been having wild food cravings since yeah, rough month. Like, I want a corn dog. Why? Anyway, I'll revisit that pound of ground beef I put out to thaw. It's really another...whatever I can eat day.

Oh yeah, animal crossing is a time sink. I have an addictive personality, which is why I try to stay away from things like that. I've been front-loaded with some fancy fruit trees and things. Okay.

Have a wonderful Tuesday, everyone!

What is rule number 1 in the zombie apocalypse? I'm not familiar with the rules!

Don't blame you! It's from the Zombieland movie where a reclusive shut-in has a bunch of rules for surviving. Number one is cardio and being able to outrun them. It has its funny moments. But I've always hated running, so I'm done for if it's needed for more than a sprint.

Don't forget the double tap. LOL I loved both of those movies and Bill Murray was hysterical as a fake zombie.

I did like Bill Murray's part in that movie. He can be a funny guy.
