I thought of something else to make sure they tell you -- given you don't feel your symptoms have resolved, get them to be very specific on when you should go back to your PCP or when you should go back to the ER if anything changes. I remember when my step dad was having health issues, the best doc we worked with was very specific -- if X happens, call and talk to the PA; if Y happens, head to the the office and if Z happens, head straight to the hospital. Taking the guesswork/judgement out of the equation was very helpful.

Wow! First off, I'm glad you are ok, but I really hope this passes and you are feeling better asap. Not having a diagnosis has got to be frustrating. Please keep us posted and take care.

Thanks. Not the greatest of updates but im still here! I saw some Cinco de mayo fireworks out one of the windows, too! Missed the coronation. Ah, well.

I'll continue to advocate for myself. Don't want to think about how this might have ended if I'd just taken the first CT scan as gospel.

I am going back over old posts to catch up on your progress since I have missed a few days on the board. I hope you are feeling better but I ma sure you are frustrated not to have a specific diagnosis and the same pain in there.

Yeah I missed a bunch of days of reading. I was...out of it on morphine due to the tube and IVs.

Yep, he said bezoar and blockage and play doh. Couldn't give me a good map of how to keep it from recurring and had no explanation for why two CT scans 48 hours apart were so different.

I've been doing a lot of reading and research about what might contribute and what I might do. I think they'll take me seriously going forward, so there's that!
