Good morning, everybody!
Hopefully CH is recuperating today.
Dare I say it?, but my son received an email notification that EENG 389 will be offered this summer by CSM. They told the students to sit tight, because it was in the final stages of approval as an online class for Summer Semester 2, and all of those on the waiting list would be automatically enrolled. If this holds true then he will be in position to graduate in May 2024 with his major
, minor and concentration. And we will owe another 4K. We are keeping our fingers crossed that it actually happens in the next few days.
I was hoping to bring my car in to have it serviced today, but a client reached out to have an urgent phone call this afternoon, so I will have to bring it in next week.
I have a super fun weekend planned. Dinner guests tonight. Tomorrow is Blink-182 at the United Center. Sunday night is drinking and molecular gastronomy with this cool lady that I met in California, and a Cubs game on Monday. In between, I have a bunch of lifting to do and need to go to Crossfit today. Late Monday night we pick up my older son from the airport and he is home for four days. Hopefully we do not have to spend those four days discussing backup plans for EENG389.
I have some Chicago flower pictures that I will post from my phone. Not sure why it posted right in the middle of a paragraph.
QOTD: Bought a package of 4-5 Prime Steaks from Costco. Like an inch and a half thick. Popped them on the grill. Ended up catching the grill on fire and even with the gas turned off it was burning so hot that I could hear metal popping and cracking. Finally managed to put out the fire and salvage the steak which i ate for a week even pre-surgery.
Breakfast: egg sandwich
Lunch: Jersey Mike's maybe
Dinner: Bottle of Red/Bottle of White
Have a great day, all!

It all depends upon your appetite. Perhaps a bottle of Rose, instead?

Good morning all and Happy Friday,
Whew, I think it's time to take a big breath and smell the roses. Thanks for a great picture of the tulips (?) For reminding me.
Yesterday was great. It was amazing to spend quality time with my siblings and remembering my Dad. We haven't spent that much time together since the last family funeral.
QOTD- The biggest mistake I've made cooking is cutting my finger while working in a kitchen.

Great pictures!! Not so much with my siblings but with my cousins, we always say "why do we only get together at funerals, let's do XYZ" and then life gets in the way and we don't. It's a huge treasure when we get to spend big chunks of quality time together as adults.
