Hello Jen! Hello everyone
Your commitment to exercise is so admirable!
I've been offline this week as I've been so tired I've been in bed so early! My bloods results sort of showed why, seems I absorb iron and b12 etc a bit too well and I'm way over the upper lkmkt for both, so some minor changes should fix it. Most other things improved except for some weirdness with liver potentially but hopefully fixing my iron overload will fix that up.
truly hope everyone is well :)
QOTD: seen the originals and one of the really new ones. I have never seen the prequels despite them being filmed literally 5 mins from my house!
Food: protein shake, salmon poke bowl, chicken and mixed veggies, protein bar and a few naughty crisps I stole off the partner!
Enjoy your Thursday!
if by liver numbers, you mean your enzyme levels are high (ALP, ASP, and/or AST), that's not uncommon the first year or so. Rapid weight loss is really hard on livers. It freaked my PCP (at the time) out because I don't think she'd worked much with bariatric patients, but my levels were back down to normal on a second reading my second year post-op - which I'd anticipated since I'd read about this in online articles and had heard about it (maybe here on OH? Can't remember).
Same.
Numbers will go down. Be careful trying too hard to force them down. You will end up wishing them back up.

I had to get my B12 and Calcium dialed down as well. Almost everybody on OH either has or has had elevated liver enzymes. they usually normalize over time.

The Liver is and incredible organ and it can heal completely by itself. I am surprised your bariatric Doc has concerns. I know it has happened to many of us. I had fatty liver going into surgery. When I had my hernia surgery a year after WLS the surgeon said there was no sign of disease in my liver. It completely healed itself.
