Slow what are you talking about 16lbs in 5 months is not slow. You're doing great. Think about it if you gained 16lbs in 5 months you'd be screaming how did I gain that much so fast.

that's true. Back when I was still losing weight, those last few months when I only had about 20 or so lbs to go to hit a normal BMI, my weight loss slowed down to a CRAWL. We're talking like a pound or two a month, in spite of my REALLY working at it. But...I did finally make it. So different than when you're starting off at 300 +/- pounds!! So yea, at the rate I was going once my goal was actually within eye sight, 16 lbs would have definitely taken me a lot more than five months!!

I am traveling with a friend next week and she started on Monjaro a week ago and lost seven pounds in one week. She had weight loss surgery a few years before I did, but when her appetite came back she was ravenously hungry and eats a lot of food and gains a lot of weight.

seven lbs in a week is a lot - although a good chunk of that was probably water. Although the more overweight you are, the faster it comes off - or at least at first. If she was eating a lot of food, there were probably a lot of calories she could have cut and still remained healthy.

I cannot get my doctor to prescribe any WL support drug. Were there specific requirements you had present to get a script?

what about your bariatric clinic? The surgical group here also offers medical bariatric care for the WLS patients. If you have insulin resistance that would qualify you.
