You could have moved much later, and still forgotten it all.

for some reason, my father really liked living in Toledo. Not sure why, because he was from Chicago. Toledo is sort of a sleepy, not-much-going-on kind of town. Although we lived in a really great neighborhood, and he took classes at the university, which was about two blocks up the street from us - so maybe he saw it differently than most people.

my siblings were both born in Toledo! (I was born in Cleveland - I was three when we moved to Toledo).

This year May 4th has a very special meaning for me. Today is exactly 30 years I have been living in US. DH (at the time boyfriend - fian**** came to Italy to ask officially for my hand from my dad. While he was there I took him around to Florence and other cities. Here is a pic he took of me in Florence. I thought I was a cool chic with those stirrup leggings (total 90s fashion) and my huge backpack; what I was carrying in that backpack is a mystery to me.

The next pic is blurry because holy moly, we didn't have digital cameras so wouldn't know what the picture is like until we developed them. It sounds so last century. That was my last day at home.

And this last pic was DH's (at the time finance) present to me when we landed and got home. A red bike. Here I am riding my red bike on May 4th 1993, my first day in US.

QOTD: have seen all the SE movies, and some of the animated series. Never read the books.

My meals yesterday:

• Coffee
• My version of fried rice with mex cauliflower rice and eggs
• PP pudding, jerky
• Left over taco innards
• E: 1 hr elliptical (too much rain to run outside)

Great pictures Sheila! It's been awhile since I've seen a picture of your daughter, but I think you look alike. I confuse mothers and daughters even though I know factually that some of the Moms now have all grey hair.
