I used to always stop at a rest stop on I90 where you walked in a glass tunnel across and over the interstate. I liked to stand and watch the trucks coming and got the sensation that they were coming at you. It is a long lonely drive and I used to do it when there was a lot of snow. I kept blankets, water bottles, and snacks in the car in case I ended up snowed in on 90. At least you will not be worrying about blizzard conditions.

Good morning Jen and menuers!

Wow, how did May get here already?

QOTD- I used to take one of my longer vacations at the end of April most years. I loved how I would come back in early May and it would feel fully like spring, everything green, all the little critters here, birds celebrating...and, you know, pollen for days.

I got almost three loads of laundry done yesterday, plus changed the sheets and cleaned the bathroom. I'm still behind but always feels good to have a cleaner place. And mmm, fresh sheets. I also threw a couple of cheap new pillows on the bed to be able to use as needed. Not used to having things between my knees but I'm working on it!

Need to decide about extending leave one more time or returning to work on Wednesday. I still don't have answers, and while the pills I have take the edge off, even a trip to the store requires...accommodations. my CT scan is tomorrow but I doubt I'll have answers immediately. Hmm.

Menu - Protein in broth, oyster crackers. Maybe some blueberries.

Have a great day, everyone!

I hope you end up with something to be excited about this month, even without April travel!

Oh I'm excited for the same things, it's just less of a "surprise ". When I'd travel it would feel like coming home to spring in full swing. Now I'm jus****ching as it comes. I still get the birds and critters and watching my favorite oak tree bud. It's great. :)
