Congratulations on reaching the goal !!!!

Most likely you would lose more weight... I was there, trying so hard to stop losing...not feeling too well getting so bonny, looking drained. But eventually things stabilized and .. then I was trying to stop gaining...then working hard on losing... lol.. .

I realized I know what to do to gain... and what to do to lose... the maintenance - staying within +/-2 lbs from when I reach my ideal weight - that's hard.

Maintenance is the phase that worries me the most. I'd been initiating changes last month to stop losing but then ran into my current health fun and literally dropped another 25 pounds since March 17th. Didn't matter what I ate, so I made sure to tell the clinics that it was unexplained and unintended. I think I've stopped it...or slowed it dramatically but it's not in a healthy way because of my eating difficulties. I think it's going to be a process to establish how much I should be eating once I get to a healthier point and can eat the right foods and get back to exercising! So long way of saying...right there with you!

BTW: have you consider taking digestive enzymes? they often help me to get the nutrition my body needs when I don't eat a lot, and have problem digesting food. It's more for digesting proteins, and be able to eat, digest and absorb dense proteins. Because I'm on a very strong PPI, eating dense proteins - meat, eggs, fish can give me indigestion giving me headaches.
Taking digestive enzymes helps my body properly break down the protein into simple amino acids and absorb it.

Our body absorbs carbs really well, but that's not what we we need to not get malnourished.

With such a rapid weigh loss, make sure you get blood work to see your blood levels of proteins and some critical vitamins and minerals. (at least B1, B12, B6 and potassium)

I've looked at the enzymes before...pineapple or papaya, I think. Haven't taken or tried them, though, so thanks for the vote.

At least a part of the problem I'm having is pain associated with trapped gas, so I'm leery of eating anything bulky or that breaks down right now. I'm knocking back Levsin and gas tablets every time I eat to combat it, but maybe enzymes would help.

I got some basic bloodwork done a couple of weeks ago when thr WLS clinic made a token effort at checking for what might be contributing to the sudden neuropathy. It wasn't a full panel but it did include Thiamin. Everything came back normal. I'm waiting for the next round from my PCP.

Appreciate you weighing in. Sounds like there's some overlap between this and a fraction of what you've lived through.

Yep. She's currently camping in bed. I found out today that my SF is literally working from bed with her just in case she needs something. And probably to sit on her if she tries to get up.
