Wow! Glad you survived your tandem jump. That is not on my personal list of things to do. Brr!

I think it's been a process. She's learning to use crutches now, though she loathes them. She was told not to bend the knee at all and definitely can't with the brace they gave her. Between her recent experiences and watching her hubby's mom, it has opened her eyes a bit. I get it's hard to admit you need help but boy, don't let that ruin your life!

I hate crutches too. I have a walker and use it if I feel wobbly when I first wake up in the morning. But I see everyday as an opportunity to get stronger. Exercising in the swimming pool is the best thing I do. If I fall there, the water will catch me. Also I learned that walking backwards in the pool water is great for improving balance.

When I was younger, I used to think that when I was this old I could just sit in my rocking chair, eat candy, and not care about weight or exercise. But there are still things I want to do and I am willing to work hard to make them possible.

It's good that they have her up and moving and all that. Older folks can lose conditioning/mobility so fast.

Agree! I'm glad she's so independent because she's motivated to move. Unfortunately, you practically have to sit on her when she's supposed to be still.

Good mornin everyone!

Not a lot going on...that's exciting anyway. We only went to Walmart yesterday so that means we have a lot to do today. My poor Percy had troubles during the night coughing up a hairball. One of the foods in his mix is hairball treatment. Poor guy..and me who had to clean up lol.

I see my bariatric NP Monday and I'm not looking forward to it. My weight is disappointing. I have stayed the same weight give or take a few pounds here and there since starting Ozempic. I wasn't looking for it to be a miracle drug. Not even a little bit but I thought maybe 5-10 pounds. It's the same exact weight. Ugh! My weight is such an embarrassment for me.

Also not feeling real great still. I was able to order some different iron supplements yesterday so hopefully that'll help with the stomach issues.

QOTD: I keep my iPad on my nightstand. It's got the sound turn off. I never keep my phone in my room.

food is unknown at this time.

wanted to attach a photo of Mona the groana from yesterday...such a silly girl!

for me to lose weight I have to cut most carbs out of my food. And limit how much I eat. And be patient. I lose in steps. I'm in a stall right now and its very frustrating, because I'm really following my diet.

I'm on steroids plus I have Hypothyroid. My PC told me that I should be happy I'm not gaining rapidly. Right. Not OK

The only way I lose weight now is strictly counting calories or points if WW, but it all comes down to eating less than I burn.

Love the pupper!

Our bodies can work so hard to hang on to every ounce like we'll never eat again. It's such a challenge, and hopefully they'll have feedback for you about how they can help.

Hope you feel better.

Good morning, everybody!

Lying in bed awake at 3AM doesn't seem like champion sleep. Not that I am any sleep champ that I would know.

Today is my Friday. I think that I have to leave for the airport at about 5:30 tomorrow morning. Marilyn will drive me because she wants my car to take her friends to the airport when they leave for their trip. My flight gets into Birmingham at about 10:30, I have to pick up the rental car and head over to campus. My son has his last final that ends about 11:00. He said that he only needs a 20 on the test to get an A, so pretty low stress.

We will get lunch and pack up the car. At 2:00 he has his exit inspection and then we will hit the road. The ride home goes through five cities: Birmingham, Nashville, Louisville, Indianapolis and Chicago. Chances are pretty good that we will hit traffic in at least one of them. I don't have a concrete plan as to how much driving that we will do on Friday. The whole trip is 11 hours, but having been sick, I don't think that we will try it all at in one day.

Today is fairly busy at work and I would like to go to the gym tonight. I will probably watch some of the NFL Draft tonight. My appetite is coming back, so I need to adjust back to a more healthy style of eating. Today and tomorrow will be transition days for that. By Saturday I need to be back on track.

I may not post tomorrow, but I'm sure that I will read from the airport.

QOTD: No, I leave the electronic downstairs for the most part.

Breakfast: Fritatta

Lunch: Steak

Dinner: TBD

Have a great day, all!
