Wouldn't Cookie Con be delightful if it had the fresh baked cookie smell floating on the air? I would be all about the samples.

Not for me... I would get a severe nausea... I get nausea smelling cookies, muffins, donuts, cakes...Like dry heaving nausea.. i got drugs for that now, but I had to take 3 of them on a short trip from Costco - home (25 min) when I forgot to put fresh muffins into a bag and close it. Bread doesn't do tah to me - but sweet goods - freshly baked.. nope.

That's me in any fragrance store. Yankee Candle, BBB, any perfumes. I'd rather suck it up and snort sugar. Yuck yuck.

When i discovered I had soy allergies- I had to get rid of any candles.
After RNY - I developed a supper sensitive sense of smell. Any thing would trigger nausea. Any strong smell. For at least 6 moth if not longer, I couldn't cook/bake anything at home. That and some texture. My good friend was pregnant and we compared different stuff that made us gag- dry heave .. HB eggs were one of that. Fish - any fish... roasted chicken (I had to avoid the Costco area when they had them. Nope. I have a great friend who offered to cook for me. She would cook stuff for me (with a lot of ginger) and I payed her for the raw stuff she used to cook for me. I could reheat some stuff, other things - I ate cold. or just barely warm.
Even now - I get bouts of nausea... just because. But I can cook and bake RNY NSA stuff (except sweets with real sugar), and get the roasted chicken from Costco. I love cooked for Keith... but I also buy a lot of premade - high quality stuff that he likes and he eats. I always "add my own twist" to them.

Good morning from Canton, Ohio. There are stairs out my front window staring me down. The goal is to get out there and do them this morning. But it's cold so I'm hoping to wait an hour or so and maybe see 40 before I start. Today we move onto Ann Arbor. We will be there about 5 days so if ant one has any sightseeing suggestions, let ''em rip.
QoTD: Nothing clever. Probably American Pie. As in Bye, bye...
My food choices yesterday were stellar. Let's not talk about wine.
Today looks like
B. Egg and leftover pork rib meat
L. Charcuterie meats (thank you, Chrissie)
D. Taco innards with Quest chips for crunch.
PEACE Everybody!
