It's more subtle than "I'm going vegan!," but not by much.

Keith - I showed him my sewing machine and he sew things a few times. He has too many "honey do" projects now, but...if he ever have time, I'm sure he would use it more. Plus he would want more heavy duty machine for sewing car stuff...

Good morning JB and Menu friends.

Great Meme, I am still dealing with neck/shoulder/back issues from my fall last year.

I am struggling to get back on the eating properly wagon, I kicked ass from January 1- March 30, I am having a hard time not grazing. It was so easy and then I went on vacation. I am drinking my water. Last night I woke up at 11:30 and went downstairs and proceeded to eat a snack size sleeve of ritz crackers...wtf? Really discouraged with myself, I am all or nothing at all...somebody kick me in the butt!

QOTD - Joddie and I started to work on the Living room/ dining room on our main level of the house. Last weekend I removed carpet from the stairs, I thne had to remove stair treads and trim the nose to square them up as the oak tread kits we bought will go right over the existing treads. Once the stairs are done we will tear up the carpet in living room and hardwood in dining room and then will lay down bamboo flooring.

*** Joddie had a pampered chef party in March, her party was over $2K-one of the items she used credit for was the PC air fryer, wow is that a game changer.

B - Protein bar

MS - 2 good yogurt

L - Salad with chicken

As - celery and laughing cow and a protein shake

D - left over pizza casserole

E - running around doing errands

Staye healthy my friends, Mike

A regular sleeve of Ritz crackers is 800 calories. Don't ask me how I know.

I stripped the 70s gold carpet off our stairs about 10 years ago and removed all the oak treads. But I sanded and refinished these, and put them back. I replaced all the balusters, as they were in pretty poor shape.

Mike, you seem to be a person if they have an event to plan for they stay on track and push hard. Just pick an event (example: 4th of July party, everybody is in the pool and in their bathing suit), even a small one, and have that as your goal set day. This way you don't fall off the wagon.

I'm one of those that have to plan and track. If I don't, and can't look at the data, I fall right off the path.

me too. There's a new dietitian at my clinic, and I'm hoping she's not into "intuitive eating" like the last one was. The last one HATED the fact I do things like count calories and keep logs of all kinds of food- and exercise-related data. Sorry but....that's worked for me. It helped me lose over 200 lbs and has helped me keep most of that off. I'm afraid if I stopped doing that, I'd intuitively eat my way back up to 300+ lbs. Not doing it. I finally decided I had to lie to the last one so she'd get off my case. We'll see what this new one is like. I see her in June.

What works for one doesn't always work for another. No intuitive eating for me either. Dangerous game.
