Good morning, everybody!

Thank you for all of the well wishes, and Birthday cheer.

For the first time since April 11th, I experienced normal bathroom function yesterday. Hopefully that persists and the virus is through my system for good. I am still light but not experiencing the low blood pressure or spotted vision that I was having last week. I have been trying hard to keep drinking fluids.

Yesterday, I had the odd experience of stepping on the scale and not knowing what I wanted the number to be. I knew that I didn't want it to be lower, but, after all that we have been through, it is really hard to root for the number to go up. I am going to go to the gym today, but only to stretch and do some skill work with the PVC pipe.

Last night we went to see AIR, the movie about Nike wooing Michale Jordan out of college. I really liked it both for the 80's memories and the acting. Although it's about a sports figure, it's not really a sports movie per se.

Food has been that of a five year old: bagels with butter, sandwiches, chicken noodles soup and oyster crackers, pasta with butter. I'm going to do that for two more days and hopefully back to paleo on Wednesday. The carbs are a trade-off for easy to digest at this point. So far my blood sugar has been OK.

QOTD: Avert your eyes Sheila. Corned Beef Hash and canned ravioli. I don't know many podcasts or things like that. I'm content to listen to Grateful Dead concerts from the 70's while I drive.

Have a great day, all!

So glad you are on the mend - that was scary! Corned beef hash was a staple in our house growing up. My son loves it too.

Yay for normal bathroom function! Whether biological or mechanical, it's always a win.

Because of the gut "configuration" we have - we are much more sensitive to any norovirus, or viral "stomach flu"

Get activated charcoal - in capsules. Really an amazing thing to have for situation like that. I always have them in my first aid kit when we travel.

Activated charcoal is great for any type of issues except constipation. It can cause constipation if it's not needed for runs. Plus - because it binds to anything in the intestines - it needs to be taken away from any meds or supplements.

One of the best thing to have at home for any type of food poisoning - vomiting or runs. Or even with occasional really bad GERD - burning in the esophagus.

This one, from coconut - may not be the cheapest but it's my favorite.
