QJB I love both Tough Cookies and Wake and Bake...your questions are always on point!
I am really struggling on this one. I feel like I have lived multiple lives. Not in a dramatic way, but I did spend a lot of years in my 20s and early 30s traveling like a fiend. So I have been to 48 countries and could write an epic novel about that (maybe "On the Road"? Not clever but hey it's 9 am!). But then I got settled into family life, left the city for the burbs, have a partner and stepkids...so maybe something about the trials and tribulations and joy of being a bonus mom? ("Finding Joy After On the Road"?). And I feel like for sure I have two more memoirs in my future - an empty nest time and a retirement time! Woohoo!
I spoke to my mom who had her cancer treatment yesterday and she was less sick than previously! So that's good news. It's not clear if the treatments are working but we will be back in a month for the next one...
B: Deviled eggs from Reading Terminal Market (yum, already popped over across the street)
L: Egg salad sandwich, matzoh ball soup (we have a microwave in the hotel)
D: TBD, normally we get soup again but my mom may feel good enough to go to dinner
EARLY day tomorrow with a 6:45 am train. I get home super early and I might pop over to Costco - my in-laws arrive Friday morning!
I have been to 3 countries -- we're counting the US, right?
I'm glad you're mom is having it a little easier this time.

People like you don't get enough credit for being a bonus mom. You need a very special/big/warm heart to love somebody else's kids like they were your own. I always tear up when I watch stepmom with Julia Roberts and Susan Sarandon.

That is great news for your mom. I know not everyone is a believer and I don't judge anyone on their beliefs. I will keep you in my prayers. I say them and go to church just in case the Christians are right. God bless you for all you do for your mother. You're a great daughter.
